THREAD IN SUPPORT OF ISRAEL

This has just been posted on the News site I frequent. For those who need reminding Israel forcibly evicted all the Jews in Gaza in August 2005 in the name of peace. Israel gave back the land of Gaza for peace. As you can see from my clips above - there is anything but peace and love for Israel eminating in Gaza.

6 Years Ago: 'No Threat of Rockets from the Disengagement'

Pre-disengagement archive video: MKs from right and left declare - "There is no danger of rockets in th south; stop frightening us!"

Published: 21/08/11, 11:01 AM

During these days of continuous missile attacks from the Gaza strip towards southern Israel, it is most suitable to take a look back at the way some related to the warnings that this will be the situation if Israel were to retreat from Gaza, as it did in the expulsion program in August 2005.

Two years ago, during the previous upheaval in the south that was met with the Cast Lead anti-terror operation, Channel 2's Amit Segal presented a montage of comments by MKs regarding the security related opinions against the disengagement plan.

The video, courtesy of Channel 2, was featured on the Arutz Sheva TV newscast two years ago.

RE: London Riots ..

Thankfully the incessant day and night police vehicle sirens have stopped since about 3 days ago. I sincerely hope they have nabbed the culprits.

I saw a clip of a grown woman outside JD Sports supervising a couple of kids in the packing of the loot from inside. Her face was clear for all to see. What sort of scum of a mother is she?

Good morning all you lovely lovely people in the UK, and good evening to our antipodean friends!

Miracle in Be'er Sheva: Rocket Hits Empty School

A barrage of Grad Katyusha missiles were fired by Gaza terrorists at Be'er Sheva for the fourth day Sunday morning. One landed on a school.

A barrage of Grad Katyusha missiles struck Be'er Sheva on Sunday August 21 morning as Gaza terrorists continued to target the largest city in southern Israel for a fourth day.

On Saturday August 20, more than 80 mortar shells and missiles of all ranges were fired by Gaza terrorists at southern Israel.

An Ofakim man, Yossi Shushan, 38, was killed while traveling to return to his family in Be'er Sheva after he heard the air raid sirens and became worried about his wife in her ninth month of pregnancy and their two young daughters.

“Tzeva Adom, Tzeva Adom, Hatzerim” (Color Red, Color Red) called the automated voice as the air raid siren wailed its alert at about 9:00 a.m. Sunday morning.

Several missiles had already been intercepted by the Iron Dome anti-missile system earlier in the morning over the southern coastal city of Ashkelon.

At least 60 police officers raced to the site of the impact, where a missile struck a kindergarten building. Due to summer vacation, there was no one in the building and no one was physically hurt.

A second rocket reportedly landed in an open area on the outskirts of the city. The third was apparently intercepted by the Iron Dome anti-missile system.

“We are asking residents to please stay in your safe spaces, please do not photograph what is going on here,” a Be'er Sheva police official reminded listeners on Israel's southern radio station, Radio Darom. Regional Commander Yitzchak Cohen noted that it was much wiser to stay put and not come out to view explosion impact sites, because sometimes there are follow-up attacks that target curious crowds.

“Breathe deeply, drink a glass of water, try to relax, but most important, stay in your safe spaces right now,” a Home Front Command spokesman added in an interview a few minutes later.

“We heard at least three explosions,” the radio announcer noted, “and several listeners have called in to say they saw three rockets in the skies.”

A local police officer who spoke with the radio announcer replied that he was focused on dealing with the present situation on the ground, rather than with what people had seen in the skies. “That is my priority at this point,” he said.

‘Iron Dome’ Intercepts Three Rockets over Ashkelon

The Iron Dome defense system intercepted three Grad rockets aimed at Ashkelon Sunday morning August 21 as Israel debates how to react to Hamas’ war.

Published: 21/08/11, 7:52 AM

The Iron Dome defense system intercepted three Grad rockets aimed at Ashkelon Sunday morning while Israel debates how to react to Hamas’ latest escalation in its war on the country.

The new system has proved effective but is far from offering Israelis total protection from missile attacks.

The Netanyahu government earlier this year approved buying four additional battery systems that will not be in operation for at least another 12 months.

The mobile air defense system is being manufactured by Israel’s development by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems to intercept short-range rockets and artillery shells from a distance of up to 70 kilometers (approximately 45 miles), less than the distance from Gaza to the heart of Tel Aviv.

The Iron Dome can operate day and night and under all weather conditions, but it is very expensive per use, and there are not enough systems in operation to protect several cities at the same time.

Each intercept missile costs between $35,000-$50,000, thousands of times more than the cost of Hamas’s primitive Kassam rockets.

Israel needs at least 20 batteries to protect the country’s borders with Gaza and Lebanon, and only two systems are operating, with a third one expected to be deployed in the next few weeks.

38 Year Old Southern Israeli Victim Leaves Widow in 9th Month

Released for publication: Yossi Shushan, 38, of Ofakim, died of wounds he sustained Saturday night August 20, in a Grad Katyusha attack on Be'er Sheva fired by Gaza terrorists just after the Sabbath ended.

Shushan had spent the Sabbath in Ofakim with his father and became worried about his wife, nine months pregnant, after hearing the air raid sirens, and decided to travel to Be'er Sheva to be with her. He did not make it into the house she was in before the rocket hit and his wife identified his body minutes after he was killed. The couple had two young daughters and were eagerly awaiting the birth of their first son.

The cries of his wife and family could be heard as the tragic news was announced on the local radio station. Reports that a second person died of his wounds were later determined to be false. Eight others were wounded after the attack that targeted the northern part of the city, called the capital of the Negev.

Doctors fought late into the night to save the lives of four others who were still in the operating rooms at Soroka Medical Center following the attacks. At least two of the victims had been rushed to the hospital in critical condition, with two others in serious condition. Two more victims suffered moderate injuries and one had lighter wounds.

Local Be'er Sheva residents reported hearing 11 explosions just as the Sabbath was ending at about 8:15 p.m. The barrage came just after a similar attack on Ofakim, where a missile scored a direct hit on a house. A four-month-old baby, a nine-year-old boy and a 20-year-old man were all wounded by shrapnel and flying debris from the impact in that attack. Another 38 people were admitted to Soroka Medical Center with severe anxiety.

Another missile slammed into a commercial building, also in Ofakim, closed due to the Sabbath. Two other missiles landed in open areas. No one was physically wounded in those attacks, although numerous residents suffered from trauma and anxiety. Gaza terrorists also fired mortar shells at the Eshkol Regional Council district. At least one shell hit a building, causing slight damage. No physical injuries were reported.

The IAF bombed numerous targets in Gaza during the day, killing another head of the Popular Resistance Committees (PRC), the Hamas offshoot responsible for Thursday's terrorist attacks.

The Iron Dome anti-missile system reportedly intercepted at least one, and possible more Grad Katyusha missiles that were aimed at Be'er Sheva during the day. More than 50 missiles and mortar shells were fired at southern Israel over the course of the day on Saturday. Among the areas targeted were the major cities of Be'er Sheva, Ashdod, Kiryat Gat, Kiryat Malachi and Ashkelon, as well as Ofakim, Sderot and numerous kibbutzim and moshavim in various districts in the Gaza Belt region.

The emergency hotline number for those seeking information about loved ones at Soroka Medical Center is 1-255-177. Officials called on residents of the south to review and follow the instructions of Home Front Command, and proceed immediately to a safe space or shelter upon hearing an air raid siren. They also emphasized the importance of not leaving that space for at least 10 minutes of silence or longer, after any impact has been heard.

Saturday night the attacks continued, with terrorists from the Gaza's Hamas rulers and the Popular Resistance Committees (PRC), firing missiles late into the night.

Two short-range Kassam rockets exploded in open fields in the Sha'ar HaNegev Regional Council district just before midnight A rocket landed in the Ashkelon Regional Council district at about the same time. No damage or physical injuries were reported in either attack.

You forgot the most important nutbar of them all - Iran, who are very close to the capability of using nuclear weapons.

THREAD IN SUPPORT OF ISRAEL

I am almost certain there are some other threads about that - just scroll through the topics on the current affairs thread list. I would rather this thread was a celebration and support of Israel.

Why is it.........?

I didn't understand any of it, but my daughters have made good use of it so thanks.

Actually even just chatting with women there are rarely ones I feel a connection with. Very strange.

THREAD IN SUPPORT OF ISRAEL

Well I tried to see if you meant it any other way, but no, I guess you meant Israel.

You need to remember Gaza is in a state of war with Israel - look at the rockets fired into Israel this evening - into the very city where my nephew lives. You have no idea what it is like being bomarded daily with rockets. Israel gave Gaza back and was not intending to control imports but of course Hamas changed all that when it started to bombard Israel with rockets.

THREAD IN SUPPORT OF ISRAEL

The person he was replying to was lying and hadn't a clue!

THREAD IN SUPPORT OF ISRAEL

I would love to know how Israel is bullying all around them and the arabs are being coralled. Do you honestly know about the situation there - do you take a lot of interest in it at all? Israel is willing to engage but even to this very day the PA are gloryfying terrorists and the PA leader has no intention of making peace with Israel. Until the hate from the arabs turns into love then maybe there can be some progress but unfortunately the Charter of PA and Hamas is still to destroy the Jews.

THREAD IN SUPPORT OF ISRAEL

Disgusting posts in your view - but no comment about the attacks I posted that Israel has suffered tonight. So that says a lot to me too whereby you attack the posters but not the serious state of affairs, and the fact that time and time again utter filth is spewed against Israel on these forums. And a good night to you too.

RE: And The War´s Getting Closer....100.000 "Martyr´s" Doesn´t Matter.....

When push comes to shove Israel will find she has allies she never thought would come to her help. Israel has an amazing amount of support and I was quite surprised when I found out how many Christians support the State of Israel. Various countries too. Israel really does not need to worry. She has friends who will not let her fall.

I always wondered why The Republic of Ireland was so hostile to Israel - thanks for letting us know Albertaghost.

RE: And The War´s Getting Closer....100.000 "Martyr´s" Doesn´t Matter.....

It can drive you crazy reading the stuff - chill out and don't worry. Israel will survive and thrive and exist long after her enemies are dust.

RE: And The War´s Getting Closer....100.000 "Martyr´s" Doesn´t Matter.....

Even the Palestinian Authority leaders are spreading this filth and hate, and they are the very people who Israel is supposed to make peace with. The guy in your clip is just another one of the nasties that are crawling around. When you have seen as many of those clips as I have you will bunch them all in the same category that they are all as despicable as each other.

RE: And The War´s Getting Closer....100.000 "Martyr´s" Doesn´t Matter.....

Yes, there are loads of these sort of clips on MEMRI. I have a whole collection of them on my youtube account - some too disgusting to even put on the forums. Needless to say these poor downtrodden arabs preaching death and destruction are well-loved by certain people on these forums!

THREAD IN SUPPORT OF ISRAEL

Israel never stole any land.

Israel is not an occupier - what land do you think it is occupying?

The Palestinians as you call them in Israel are pretty happy apart from the few who would like to see the Jews out. Most Palestinians are begging Israel not to relinquish East Jerusalem as they do not want to be under Islamic rule, prefering Israeli rule where they have full rights.

I think you are another one who hasn't a clue.

Rocket attack in southern Israel

Gaza terrorists bombarded cities in Israel's southern region Saturday night. One person was killed when a Grad rocket hit Be'er Sheva, and another two were critically wounded. Four others were wounded as well, and are in serious-to-moderate condition.

Earlier in the day a 4-month-old baby, a 20-year-old man and 9-year-old boy were among those wounded when a Grad Katyusha missile fired by Gaza terrorists struck a home in Ofakim.

In total, terrorists have fired 45 rockets since Thursday night, wounding a total of 22 people. Four are in serious condition, suffering life-threatening wounds.

The Iron Dome system has shot down some rockets. On Saturday night it took out a rocket aimed at Be'er Sheva.

Hamas has officially ended an often-broken ceasefire with Israel, openly involving Gaza's leadership in the attacks.

The IDF has responded by hitting several terrorist outposts in Gaza.

Rocket fire on Ashkelon and Ashdod

A four-month-old baby and nine-year-old boy were wounded Saturday as Hamas resumed open attacks on Israel. The terrorist group fired rockets, hitting the town of Ofakim. The children were wounded when one of the rockets hit the building they were in. Both were hit by shrapnel.

Doctors say their lives are not in danger -- but both require further hospital care.

The Hamas terrorist rulers of Gaza claimed responsibility for the attack. The Popular Resistance Committees (PRC) terror organization has claimed responsibility for the barrage of Grad Katyusha missile attacks on Be'er Sheva, Ashdod and Ashkelon.

The attack followed more than 16 mortar shell attacks over the course of the morning. Hamas and other Gaza terrorist groups fired on several districts in southern Israel.

The mortar attacks caused damage and a number of people suffered traumatic shock, but no physical injuries.

Why is it.........?

Lol, are you drunk again? Luv ya too TC teddybear

Why is it when you see airport scenes on tv movies there are always beautiful people walking around. What sort of airport is that? Only one that lets beautiful people travel and meet incoming flights? There uses to be airport scenes with a couple of nuns but they don't seem to show them anymore - not hip or cool perhaps?

RE: Israel

The Jews are slagged because they always have been and it is easier to hate than love.

Look at the posts in the last couple of days. People admit they are ignorant about the Middle-East, and yet they still proport to supporting the arabs and vilify the Zionists! There is a proporganda war out there which thankfully the Israelis have started to address.

People hear what they want to hear and see what they want to see.

RE: Israel

It was a question but I needn't have asked it. Throughout the ages the Jews have been scapegoats to any bully and that is happening today with the arabs. Whilst arabs target innocent civilians in Israel (school buses, public transport, countryside walkers), the Israelis retaliate with pin-point precision targets. If the Israelis behaved like those thuggish arabs who try to kill them the world would be in uproar, but because it is the other way round the world thinks the arabs are down-trodden. Misplaced beliefs don't you think?!
