Yes but whereas the arabs were welcome to stay, they were in fact encouraged to leave and return when the Jews were no longer in the newly-established State. However the Jews in arab lands were kicked-out. Not a lot of people on here know that fact, (but they do now).
ALso we mustn't forget the million or so kicked out of Middle-Eastern countries when independence for Israel was declared. They only had a suitcase each and lost their assets, businesses, etc.

You know very well that the Jews have lives in Israel for thousands of years there has been a Jewish presence of small numbers or larger numbers. The Jews were offered part of the land and the Arabs another part in 1948 - the Jews accepted the land and the Arabs refused the land. In the pre-establishment of the State the Jews paid for land - nothing was stolen as you say. My clips come from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the IDF site, the Israel News Agency etc.
Israel suffers continuous attacks even to date, for no reason at all - purely because the arabs want the Jews dead, and that is their goal. It is not about land - it is about the death of Jews. Whilst Israel wants to live in peace and grant full rights as it does to arabs living in Israel - voting, medical, housing etc., the arabs are indoctrinated in schools to hate and martyr themselves.
You see this is the trouble I have. People are ignorant about the situation. It is not always their fault and there is a lot of false proporganda out there. However I have a wealth of knowledge and proof at my disposal and am willing to have a conversation about anything that people have against Israel. People usually are like sheep and follow the rest without finding out for themselves. On occasions where some on the forums have spoken against Israel I have asked them why they thought like that and they say because everyone thinks like that!
The settlements which are basically just new-build houses I believe are build on just two per cent of Judea and Samaria's land.
Gaza was given back in August 2005 - I remember it well, seeing it live on Sky News for several hours. Jews took refuge in the synagogue but were forcibly dragged out by the Israeli army.
Still a few thousand of them are living in pre-fabricated huts and mobile homes and don't have permanent housing. That's not way for the Israeli government to treat them. Forcing them out of Gaza on condition of peace (but obviously there have been continous rockets from Gaza since Hamas came to power). Those Jews forced out of Gaza now need permanent homes. That is why there is a huge building programme of homes for them.
I am afraid you have got your facts totally wrong. The settlements are legal. Only a small percentage of the land is built on and the land of Judea and Samaria belongs to Israel. This explains it.
Lol, I am not bothered about what people think, but I would like to know for a start what is wrong with settlement building. I started this thread to have some good conversations, and I hope we get some.
I would leave - I think it is London which is why. Some on here live in lovely parts of the UK, or even suburbs of a city. If you lived in inner London - in a very rough part - you would see the dregs of society and it would affect you. To escape to another totally different locality would be ideal.
