THREAD IN SUPPORT OF ISRAEL

That is not the only attack in the last few months Paldi. You only see the trees, not the wood. Look at the big picture at how Gaza is firing rockets on a continuous basis lately. See my clips I have posted lately.

THREAD IN SUPPORT OF ISRAEL

Not only when Israel slaps the terrorists, but even when they don't slap the terrorists.

I guess there is going to be a massive slap of the terrorists one of these days because after the last few months, and as evidenced by my posts in the last day or so, the attacks on Israel of the last couple of days Israel's enemies are due one big hiding.

THREAD IN SUPPORT OF ISRAEL

You can't but there is an extraordinary amount of anti-Israeli feeling in the Republic and people from there have told me so as well. Because it is so unusual for the mild nature typical of those in the Republic to be so anti-Israel it stands out more and is more evident because of that fact.

THREAD IN SUPPORT OF ISRAEL

One of your fellow countrymen has disgusting and vile views about Israel which you no doubt have read, and also has wished me to go to Israel and be "nuked" so I guess he was the trigger. He has annoyed and upset a lot of people. Whereas this is a debate, yes, you cannot debate with someone as hateful as that.

Eighth Victim from Thursday Murder Spree Named

Bus driver Yitzchak Sela of Be'er Sheva was 56.

Published: 21/08/11, 5:07 PM

Authorities allowed for publication Sunday afternoon that 56-year-old Yitzchak Sela of Be'er Sheva was the driver of the otherwise empty bus that was blown up by a suicide bomber during Thursday afternoon's terror attacks along the Israeli-Egyptian border, north of Eilat. Sela was one of eight Israelis murdered in the attacks.

The disclosure came following the funerals for Kfar Sava residents Moshe and Flora Gaz, Flora's sister Shulamit Karlinsky and Shulamit's husband Dov, whose car was hit by an anti-tank missile. After the missile hit his target, a terrorist approached the car and fired on the four at close range to make sure they had all been slain.

On Friday, Yosef Levy of Holon was laid to rest. He and his wife Esther were were ambushed by terrorists who sprayed the car with gunfire, hitting both passengers and causing the vehicle to overturn. In this case, terrorists fired at the car from up close to "confirm the kill." Esther managed to remain still for an hour as IDF soldiers engaged the terrorists and a gun battle ensued.

Funerals were also held Friday for 22-year-old Staff Sergeant Moshe Naftali of the Binyamin Jewish community of Ofra, who was killed when terrorists attacked his unit as it went to assist a bus that had been fired upon, and decorated counter-terrorism officer Pascal Avrahami of Jerusalem, who was killed in an exchange of fire with terrorists on Thursday evening north of Eilat, as Defense Minister Ehud Barak and Chief of Staff Benny Gantz were holding a news briefing on the earlier attacks.

Abbas Wants Lebanese Flag Flying over Jerusalem

Abbas ties the knot with Lebanon, raising the Palestinian Authority flag on its embassy. Hizbullah lauds terrorist attacks on Israel.

Published: 21/08/11, 3:36 PM

PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas has tied the knot with Lebanon, raising the Palestinian Authority flag on its new embassy there and looking forward to the day when the Lebanese flag will fly over Jerusalem.

"In these days it delights us as Palestinians to see the Palestinian flag flying in the heart of Lebanon, in the heart of the Lebanese people, and in the heart of every Lebanese who loves Palestine," the Lebanese website Naharnet.com quoted Abbas as saying.

Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Miqati unveiled a plaque at the entrance to the embassy as Abbas added that he hoped "to see the day when the Lebanese flag will be hoisted in Jerusalem."

Since the ceremony was held last week, Hizbullah, which dominates the Lebanese government through its alliance with pro-Syrian parties, has praised the Al Qaeda-linked terrorist attacks north of Eilat on Thursday.

The terrorist organization said it was proud “of the heroic resistance fighters, irrespective of the side they belong to. What they did is the only means to make the enemy understand that this land is ours and it cannot occupy it forever.”

Hizbullah added that the attacks were acts “of resistance that achieves the Arab and Islamic will, which holds that all Palestine, from the Sea to the River is sacred and owned by its people.”

Abbas has stated to English-speaking media that he wants to establish the Palestinian Authority as an independent country within Israel's borders, covering all of Judea and Samaria and large areas of Jerusalem, including the Old City and Temple Mount.

Official PA media and speeches have told Arabs that all of Israel, including Tel Aviv, Haifa and the Negev, are “Palestine."

Abbas' visit to Lebanon comes a month before the scheduled Arab League bid to the United Nations for recognition of the PA based on its unilateral territorial and political demands.

The rotational presidency of the United Nations Security Council will place Lebanon as the presiding member in September.

“The Lebanese government will exert utmost efforts within its available resources to improve the living conditions of our Palestinian brothers residing in Lebanon," Miqati told Abbas.

THREAD IN SUPPORT OF ISRAEL

Well it certainly makes a change for the anti-Israel threads that have come up time and time again. This is the very first pro-Israel thread that I have seen on CS in the last year, so yes, it is something different Vinny, and about time too.

Awww shame. A friend is telling me how her cats bring all sorts in - frogs, mice, birds. Does your cat have a jingling bell collar? Your poor cat brings you a present and probably can't understand why you don't give him a treat!!!

THREAD IN SUPPORT OF ISRAEL

Whenever I see a new post I look first at the location of the poster and unfortunately I am always correct that those in the Republic seem to be anti-Israel and vehmently so. Strangely Northern Ireland is more tolerant of Israel.

RE: Israel

Your opening post on the thread entitled "WOW" was about me, against the CS rules and therefore the thread is now removed by CS. Don't try to talk yourself out of it as we all saw it. You were not banned for disagreeing but for saying that Israel should be nuked which of course is a highly inflammatory view although to you it may mean nothing much at all. Why do you call me JEP - what is that?

THREAD IN SUPPORT OF ISRAEL

I notice only too well which is the reason I started this thread. I thought (perhaps naively) that they would read, watch, listen and learn. Well, there is plenty of time as this thread is only just getting off the ground. I am getting the occasional email from people thanking me for enlightening them which is great because people admit they are ignorant about the middle east conflict. However they seem to be ignorant and yet vilify Israel!!

THREAD IN SUPPORT OF ISRAEL

And of course in the words of some (Nasrallah), first Israel needs to cease to exist and then go for the Jews in other countries. In fact Nasrallah says all Jews should emigrate into Israel making the job of anialation easier. Israel is surrounded by those who want her to cease to exist but the amazing thing is that is not going to happen!

Something for some on here to look at whilst having a coffee.

RE: WHAT YE DOIN' RIGHT AT THIS VERY MINUTE...... ;-)

I got something similar from one of the shopping channels years ago but didn't find it great although it looked good on the hour long tv programme for it. Pleased to hear you are finding it ok. If it is good perhaps you can also write a review because others could learn from your tips. And you have a good Sunday too. Overcast today, but not as cold as yesterday.

Ashkelon Coast Targeted in Midday Rocket Barrages

Gaza terrorists switched focus towards midday Sunday and directed their missile barrages towards Ashkelon and the Eshkol district.

Published: 21/08/11, 1:39 PM

Gaza terrorists switched their focus by midday Sunday August 21 and targeted the southern coastal city of Ashkelon.

Several barrages of long-range Grad Katyusha missiles were launched at the city. Nine rockets landed in and around the Ashkelon Regional Council district and the city itself during the course of the morning.

Three were intercepted by the Iron Dome anti-missile system. One missile hit a building and caused damage to the structure.

Another rocket landed in the southern part of the city. In addition to its desalination plant, Ashkelon is home to several strategic facilities as well, making it an inviting target for Gaza terrorists.

The Eshkol Regional Council district was peppered with similar rocket attacks as well. In addition, a Grad Katyusha missile exploded in an area between Ashkelon and Be'er Sheva. None of these attacks caused damage or physical injuries.

Egyptian television reported that at least two rockets also landed within Egyptian territory, near the city of Rafiah, which straddles the border between Gaza and Egypt.

No one was injured in either of those attacks.

At least six missiles were launched towards Be'er Sheva before noon as well, with at least two being intercepted by the Iron Dome anti-missile system. One landed on a school building that was empty due to the summer vacation. Another exploded on a road, and two landed in open areas on the outskirts of the city.

No one was physically injured in the attacks.

My question to this forum is how long is Israel supposed to put up with this madness

RE: HOWS YOUR DAY???

Gosh, is it injured? My three are indoor cats so luckily I don't have to cope with them bringing me 'gifts.'

If it is too tiny and appears injured it might be best to put it out of it's misery yourself. Up to you of course.

RE: Good Morning

Morning Gussi. It's good thanks. Do me a favour - tell Sail that going 100 mph on the highway makes me cringe a bit.
