They are now trying to turn the game against France as his swan song. Should be interesting seeing England and France..well, shall we say...don't get along that well together!
Becks said yesterday he hasn't been spoken too....but they say his advisors were told Monday. Capello admitted last night after the game that he hasn't spoken or phoned Beckham.
Yes, that is what any normal manager would have done, but he has admitted that he hasn't phoned David about it. 117 caps for his country, second highest behind Peter Shilton with 125 and he finds out from the TV (although he wouldn't have seen it as he was training with the LA Galaxy)...not good man management.
Most Brits will now know that Capello has 'ended' Beck's career as and England player..and it was a good career too. I wiln never forget 'that goal' against Greece in 2002.
However, the way Capello ended it, on TV without telling Beck's is, in my mind, a showing of disrespect to an England great (I know some will counter this with saying he wasn't that good).
Is this Capello's way? Is it another total showing of lack of respect and emotion...very much like the zero emotions when we scored two goals last night?
I can't think of any other English manager that just sat there when we scored.
Not knocking the man..just his lack of commonsense and lack of emotions.
RE: Premiership kicks off this weekend. Who's gonna win it?
ABU are the makers of fishing reels.ABC was the old letters for the Tigers front row, until we had to use numbers.
Close but no cigar?
