All I can say , is that a new man in your life helps you get over the one you lost. Always you meet men when you least expect it.I answered a babysitting ad in the news paper. I took the summer off and my son was 12 and his son was 12. Turned out we were in the same grade in high school. We were together ever since he passed away from cancer. What magazines say : walk a dog in a park and in turn you might meet a guy with his own dog. While grocery shopping look ia a guys basket and see that he is buying little and is not married, cooking only for himself.Go out even if you don't like a guy , you might like one if his friends.My son and his friend while in collge use to crash weddings. They would get all dressed up an put an empty envelope in the gift box. To my surprise , I scolded him . His buddy did meet someone . They would always tell people I'm a cousin of the brides brother's friend or somthing like that.Once they were standing near th bar and the groom passed them , turned around and said hey guys I'm going to throw the garter now. When I feel lonely I either hop in my car, hit the freeway, crank up my music and just drive and get away from town for a while or watch a movie. Romantic or if that would bother ya even more, watch a comedy.

Those are pretty good options. I like the one about eating ice cream every day for 2 years, and the one about faking illness. However, what if they call your bluff and treat your fake illness?
Maybe if you follow hunky guys home and sneak in their bushes and peep at them through the window, they will take pity on you and let you in.

Are you lonely cos you're single, or just plain lonely? 
Either way, get out there and do things that you enjoy doing, either alone or in a club/group situation, whatever you're more comfortable with.
Take yourself out for dinner, to the movies, to a club, whatever ..
Being on here won't cure loneliness, but it does fill in spare time. It's good for relating to other people, but you do have to attend meets and go on dates on a regular basis, if it's actual people contact you want out of it, with a view to a companion

Are you Alone or lonely? There is a difference! I think some of us here are alone in a sense of a relationship.Being lonely means noone and thats a very sad thing.If a girl is lonely she should get out more and stop crying in the toilet like your post says lol

Or visit orphanage, play with kids there. In orphanage you will feel much better than they are in orphanage. You still have parent, family, friends......so even single, you still lucky. dont be lonely....
