Dylan said every line from this song was a potential title for a song but he didnt think he would ever have time to write them.
Just a snippet here....
Oh, what did you see, my blue-eyed son? Oh, what did you see, my darling young one? I saw a newborn baby with wild wolves all around it I saw a highway of diamonds with nobody on it, I saw a black branch with blood that kept drippin, I saw a room full of men with their hammers a-bleedin, I saw a white ladder all covered with water, I saw ten thousand talkers whose tongues were all broken, I saw guns and sharp swords in the hands of young children, And its a hard, and its a hard, its a hard, its a hard, And its a hard rains a-gonna fall.
There are 27 year olds, then there are 27 year olds, maturity doesnt always come with an age tag. The last serious relationship I had, I was 45 (yes, that long ago) she was 31, but mature beyond her years. We had a great reationship and the age difference didnt come into it. That is untill she decided she wanted a child. We had to go our separate ways, She is married now with a seven year old child, I still visit them often and I still would not hesitate dating a person of her age.
Once again I thank everyone for making today a bit more special for me.
The day started quite well with a knock at the door. I looked out of the window and there was a parcels delivery man clutching three large packages. Even though I was halfway through shaving, I ran downstairs to gleefully accept my parcels. Trouble was, the parcels were for my next door neighbour who was out at the time, he just wanted me to take delivery of them.
Anyway, when I got into work I found out we have just been paid for a job we did last month...a cheque for £10,000!!!!
Yes...a great birthday present for me
Might even go out for a drink tonight to celebrate.
And especially to Trish for this thread, and for joining me earlier today in a little pre-birthday celebration drink. A good day was had by all, even Bodie and Max
There was a story in the newspaper last week. A disabled woman in a wheelchair arrived at her destination by train. She needed to reach the platform onthe other side of the tracks, but the footbridge was closed off. She had to take the next train to another station some twenty miles away, use the footbridge there, then catch another train back to her destination. In all a journey of around two hours.
