Only reason they beat the Soviets in the first place was because we supplied advanced weaponry to them. The Stinger Missile single handedly defeated the Soviets. They aircover they so loved, became toast in the sky. This left units the Soviets left out there on their own.
The Mujahaideen also was trained in the art of insurgency by us. They were given RPGs that were actually effective BY US to destroy Soviet armor.

quite ironic that western troops are today being killed over there by the weaponary that the west sent to the mujahideen to fight the russians
its a no win war for the west we been there for 8 years and no result the russians retreated waving white hankies after 10 years and there boys aint no mugs
