I guess I should clarify. I wouldn't touch a domestic car built after about 1980. Imports only. Trucks are a bit different though. Still no way in hell I'd drive a Dodge truck either.
I think we all know people like this. I find it's best to avoid them if at all possible. You are attractive and don't let anyone tell you any different.
I'd buy a piece of dirt somewhere where it was warm and didn't snow, build a big shop and collect old cars and junk and have time to play with it all!!! I'd consider hiring someone to do the bodywork for me. I'm decent at it but can't stand the fumes and dust.
I doubt my life would really change all that much other than I could afford to do what I really want to. I'd still be working but not on other people's projects. Maybe donate some of the cars to charities so they could raffle them off. I could invite my friends over and not have them afraid that they'll be put to work helping me move a Ford big block or some other heavy item.
I just bought a Ford F-350 diesel with a 14' flatdeck too. It has beavertails so I can get cars on to it really easy! With my car trailer now I can move them two at a time.
Time to cull the herd and just keep a couple. I'm selling most of them and some are going to the crusher. One already has. I forgot about a pair of Jeeps I bought earlier in the spring too.
The EU forums are a lot like the Canadian and Australian forums. The lights are on but there's nobody home. It's a much faster pace here. Nice to see you here Smoky!
I just can't keep it all at home. Not enough space. Some at my mom's, my dad's, a friends farm and two different storage yards. Oh yeah and 1 at another friends farm. Also a '27 Ford up at a house I rented while working up north. The bus I'm not too sure about. I think there others too but I can't remember.
I think a lot of them dog-tracked right from the factory. The early ones (pre '73) weren't as bad but the later ones including Omegas, Venturas and Acadians were terrible. I have a friend with a '77 Omega with a 500hp 455 in it. Goes like stink but not in a straight line.
Anything but a Dodge/Chrysler product. I am particularly fond of the early Fords though. I have several in various states of disrepair from 1923 to the 1990's. I have other makes including Subaru, Land Rover, GMC/Chevy and I think I stll have a 55 Mercury school bus somewhere in central Alberta. I can't keep track of all the junk anymore.
I've scuffed the paint off a few helmets but only cracked one. It was made of Kevlar too. The same material they make bullet proof vests out of. I wholeheartedly admit I've done some stupid things on a motorcycle and usually involved speed. Good thing I always had my gear on.
Cool and cloudy here today. A high of 5 celcius. At least it hasn't rained yet. Or *gulp* snowed. It's coming. I can feel it in my bones.
Please wear a brain bucket and a coat of some description when you're out riding. I won't get on to a bike without my leathers anymore. Too many crashes to not wear them.
