Good post....it is depressing....how can they pick up the pieces after that? Because they love each other, because they are practicing christians, because they were childhood sweethearts?...crap when its over its over.... if she loved him she wouldnt have been having it off with a 21 year old boy!! Okay I accept what youre saying about Elvis/Haley/black/white...and I suppose it was a bit cheeky of me to compare both of them BUT they both did nothing for me so I cant differentiate between them......sorry but I have to rush off to work now... maybe you can post me a real soulful Elvis link and I will listen, keep an open mind and get back to you!.....

I judge music simply on how it makes me feel inside....Ray Charles makes me feel real emotion inside....nothing to do with sales or the likes but imo Ray Charles had REAL soul and Elvis? Well he has as much soul as Bill Haley...but sure thats just my opinion...

I agree with this...Elvis just got lucky cos of the times he was living in when black artists werent allowed airplay on a lot of american radio stations...

Could he compare with Ray charles? Not in a month of sundays!!!

It doesnt matter about his roots, for me its about his music....my parents were big Elvis fans but I just never liked him....the only song I can listen to him singing is Always on My Mind and I prefer Willie Nelson singing that...sorry!
