does this mean "you can bring a non believer to God but you can make him believe?
remember a horse, unlike a human, would only drink if there was water and it was thirsty (only humans drink to excess)
If a you were to show God to a non-believer and they still did not believe who would be at fault? you (for not providing sufficient evidence), God for not appearing to the non-believer or the non-believer for not seeing?
looks to me that Benedict XVI seems to think that your "good man" may have a chance

Nonbelievers Too Can Be Saved, Says Pope
Refers to St. Augustine's Commentary on Psalm 136(137)
VATICAN CITY, NOV. 30, 2005 (Zenit.org).- Whoever seeks peace and the good of the community with a pure conscience, and keeps alive the desire for the transcendent, will be saved even if he lacks biblical faith, says Benedict XVI.
"Hoist with his own petar; and 't shall go hard But I will delve one yard below their mines And blow them at the moon: O, 'tis most sweet, When in one line two crafts directly meet."
i love the fact that Shakespeare's probable off-color pun i.e., the spelling of "petar" rather than "petard".
It is worthwhile noting that n the UK and many areas where cosmetics testing on animals is banned, manufacturers are still required by law to show that a product meets certain health, hygiene and safety standards before it can be approved for public purchase and use.
One way this is accomplished is through the use of ingredients or formulations that were previously tested on animals. So their use still required previous anmal testing!!
Another option for cosmetics manufacturers is quite simply to avoid an ingredient or group of ingredients that have not clearly shown safety in terms of animal testing. Once again this information clearly required previous animal testing!!
Finally, cosmetics companies can and usually do test their products on human volunteers or in clinical trials.
The issue is how do we know which of the above renders the cosmetic safe? Do the cosmetic companes publish the route to whch they have followed to make their product meets the H&S standards?
Please remember elmoangel both mockery and scorn, like anger, is a powerful emotional force.
In the Bible, it was almost always used by a proud person who was trying to stop or hinder the work of God or the truth of God.
Mockery of truth was an attempt to get people to lay aside their minds and follow their emotions.
Since in the bible that you hold so dear Jesus faced much mockery and scorn while here on earth. It is not questionable whether Christians, like you, should ever use mockery or scorn.
Psalm 1:1 says, "Blessed is the man that ... sitteth not in the seat of the scornful"
am I wrong in thinking that you wish to be "blessed"?

so what happens to Jews and Muslims?
