No not any of the above mentioned option. I would invite her for a dinner, long walk or even a sailing trip. Start with a question like : what do you think about our relationship? Explain the current situation and why it's not working for me. Be decent, break someone's heart but show dignity and compassion.
I think it depends on personality as well as what the relationship meant to you. If you weaved your life around the relationship, it's difficult to get over it.
I find the first impression being correct most of the time. I say in my mind, I am going to stay open and not make up my mind but after few months/years, I arrive to the same conclusion as my first impression. Love at first sight may be a fantasy but trust your first impression.
