Love is important in life and it needs patience, which we not always have. Never give up to love. The only trouble is, the older you get the more fussy you are. As woman we manage nowadays very well without partner. The question is more: Do we really want to be on our own? Does not our heart and soul miss something and that one? Dating sites are not ideal, we lost our ability just to approach and talk to other people. That is sad.
All of it plays a great role. If you look back religion has played a significant role, but not always in a positive way. Religion should be replaced more by general ethics, moral values and so on. The word religion does not exist for long, just a couple of centuries. Before that it had been thousands of believe systems. The base of every religion should be the well-being of every creature, nature and the world as a whole. We would certainly have less wars, militants and extremists. And mankind needs also a good justice system and clear rules in life. A huge part plays love, romance and understanding. It got often lost in our world. Arts are very important because we need creativity to better our lives and to save our planet. We need a holistic thinking and approach to the problems of life. I wonder if we can manage that. I really hope we do!
Mankind is fastening it. The circles had always been, yes - but if you look at the time frame, is it not frightening? The main problem on this world is the overpopulation. People should have stopped breeding or regulated it centuries ago. Especially the poor countries. Look at all these children and the cry for food. With a few people around nature would work perfectly and only the strong one would survive.

That may have been 50 years ago. We all have our income and social securities so we are free to leave. In the developed world are more the men the losers. They have to pay their lifelong, so they rather cheat on their wives and stay.
Look, it is much easier if you ask your ex boyfriends/ex girlfriends. May be those are not entirely honest, but it gives you a clue. By the way watch out what people talk about you. Men tend to gossip to their male friends. Be aware.
