Slamfest Tampa

If anyone is up in the Tampa, FL area, I will be up in Tampa for Slamfest (lowrider and custom show for those not familiar with it) from Friday through Sunday. Just look for anyone wearing a Nocturnal Customs shirt and ask for Thumper LOL. Hope to see someone.

RE: Taking a long ride to Dallas...

Feel free to stop through Killeen, TX and smack my soon to be ex around a bit if you like. Hell I would probably pay you too LOL. TX is one state I shall never visit again. Long live Florida.

RE: Welcome to the CS PROM, and ur date for the night is..........

My Date: Me
Gonna wear a fireman outfit LOL.peace

RE: Any fellow texans here?

Was from texas up until two weeks ago. Back to being a Floridian again. Don't miss the heat nor other things though.

RE: if you could go out with 1 person, from here who would it be

Too many to choose just one. Can I have a few?

RE: Who's Earned their Red Wings

If you don't know, keep it that way. Your safer NOT knowing. Cause when you find out you got em, it's usually too late and if you have a weak stomach, it's a pukin' rally.

RE: Who's Earned their Red Wings

Got em. Didn't know till after, but got em nonetheless.

RE: CALLING ALL HUNKS

What about us "sorta in between" guys? Can we play too?

RE: any pretty boys

Nah, just ugly dudes here.

Before your eyes?

I really have no clue why I am posting this. Maybe it's to see if anyone else has had this experience. I was home for a week recently. I left a few nights ago to return up to Orlando to get my trailer and head back on the road. It had been raining hard for a few days and it was raining when I left.

For those who don't know me or are new here, I drive a 2006 Volvo over the road truck. Anyway, I was running bobtail (no trailer) up I-75. I moved to the left lane or (hammer lane) as wel call it, to pass a car. As I turned the wheel, my rear axles hit a puddle of water and the rear of the truck slid out. I continued to correct as the rear of the rig slid from right to left. As it slid for the 2nd time to the right, the tires grabbed and shot me into the median. Managed to tear the truck up pretty good but I kept it upright and got it stopped in the median.

Florida highway patrol showed up and while the wrecker was pulling my truck out, I literally fell apart.

Anyway, my issue is my thoughts. During all of this, I had thoughts of my kids and family. Even of my ex to be. Anyone else had this before? I thought that was always a pre death thing. Guess I was wrong.

RE: the *~crush thread~*

I may have one, not sure yet. But she will have to make the first move

RE: Hi everybody Im new

Whooooo Dana...............Kinna help ya clean that up lassie?

(sorry, listening to pipes and drums of scotland, got me all messed up)

WELCOME TO CS BTW ANGEL

RE: Where are all the young guys???

Younger isn't always better. I feel that the older gents, myself included, have alot more to offer at times. We are usually set in our careers (except me, who loves to change crap all the time LOL). Actually I'm leaving the truck for a career as a police officer in FL. Better way to keep my kids.

But back on topic, we are usually oriented towards long term goals, past the party all night stage, and are generally more mature. No offense to any way younger types.

Not all older guys are "old". I am 34 and can still do all night what other older guys take all night to do. You can do the math from there.devil

RE: Hi, everyone! Good to be here

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

((starts playing jaws theme))

RE: Saluate our troops

I will definatley give a salute to my brothers out there. My wishes to my boys of C Co 1-12 Cavalry, 1st Cavalry Division. They leave to return to Baghdad in 2 months. Feels wierd not going back with them this round. I only hope more come home this time than the last time we were there.

My Turn for the "What If"

Well since I have been "high n dry" for about 7 months now, you better bring a lunch and have your will in order. LOL devil

My Turn for the "What If"

Ok guys, I know this must have been posted once. But since I have been offline so long....

Guys, in the bedroom (or wherever you decided to go for it), do you prefer the quiet type? Or the loud screamers?

Since my ex was a block of wood (quiet type), I have been more attracted to the noisy, dig yer nails in my back type.

Anyone else?

Mens Rules

LOL A friend found these actually. I just had to put em up here.

Mens Rules

This may have been up here before, but I just HAD to do it. Yea I know, hate me now.

1.Women, learn to work the toilet seat. You're a big girl. If it's up, put it down. We need it up, you need it down. You don't hear us complaining about you leaving it down.
2.Birthdays, Valentines, and Anniversaries are not considered by us to be opportunities to see if we can find the perfect present . . . . again!

3.Sometimes we are not thinking about you. Live with it.

4.Sunday = sports. It's like the full moon or the changing of the tides. Let it be.

5.Don't cut your hair. Ever. Long hair is always more attractive than short hair. One of the big reasons guys fear getting married is that married women always cut their hair, and by then you're stuck with her.

6.Ask for what you want. Subtle hints do not work! Strong hints do not work! Obvious hints do not work! Just say it!

7.We don't remember dates. . . .Period!!

8.Most guys own three pairs of shoes - tops. What makes you think we'd be any good at choosing which pair, out of thirty, would look good with your dress?

9.Yes and No are perfectly acceptable answers to almost every question.

10.Come to us with a problem only if you want help solving it. That's what we do. Sympathy is what your girlfriends are for.

11.A headache that lasts for 17 months is a problem. See a doctor.

12.Anything we said 6 months ago is inadmissible in an argument. In fact, all comments become null and void after 7 days.

13.If you won't dress like the Victoria's Secret girls, don't expect us to act like soap opera guys.

14.If you think you're fat, you probably are. Don't ask us. We've been tricked before!!

15.If something we said can be interpreted two ways, and one of the ways makes you sad or angry, we meant the other one.

16.Let us ogle. We are going to look anyway; it's genetic.

17.You can either ask us to do something or tell us how you want it done. Not both. If you already know best how to do it, just do it yourself.

18.Whenever possible, please say whatever you have to say during commercials.

19.Christopher Columbus did not need directions, and neither do we.

20.The relationship is never going to be like it was the first two months we were going out. Get over it. And quit whining to your girlfriends.

21.ALL men see in only 16 colors, like Windows default settings. Peach, for example, is a fruit, not a color. Pumpkin is also a fruit. We have no idea what mauve is.

22.If it itches, it will be scratched. We do that.

23.We are not mind readers and we never will be. Our lack of mind-reading ability is not proof of how little we care about you.

24.If we ask what is wrong and you say "nothing," we will act like nothing's wrong. We know you are lying, but it is just not worth the hassle.

25.If you ask a question you don't want an answer to, expect an answer you don't want to hear.

26.Don't ask us what we're thinking about unless you are prepared to discuss such topics as navel lint, the shotgun formation, or monster trucks.

27.Foreign films are best left to foreigners. (Unless it's Bruce Lee or some war flick where it doesn't really matter what they're saying anyway.)

28.BEER is as exciting for us as handbags are for you.

Thank you for reading this; Yes, I know, I have to sleep on the couch tonight, but did you know, it's like camping

This one will get me flamed LOL

Thanks for the opinions on that. As the professor said, the fact I was looking for opinions was something that helped me realize what I was doing. I am going to keep it friendly for now. I still feel emotionally "numb" so to speak from this entire divorce and what led to it. So it would be unfair to her. That and I do want her to experience life a bit before becoming serious. I may date her a time or two, but that is about as far as it will go.

This one will get me flamed LOL

Ok, this is going to be odd for me to write but I am unsure on how to approach this.

As those who have been here know, I am finally putting the end to a 10 year marraige due to an adulterous wife. Finally I have put the rampage of emotions behind me. NOW....

I go home to FL to visit my parents and friends alot. About every other week. This is where I run into issues. There is a young lady here that I have known for about 2 months now. She hangs out with the group of friends that I have here in FL. She is a very nice girl, good head on her, ambitions, etc. I have been told by several of my friends that she would like to pursue something with me once my divorce is done. I hear this after I leave.

The problem is age. I am 34, she is 19. I don't really have an issue with age myself. My parents are 14 years apart. I know before in the older days, this was a problem. Myself, I wouldn't mind as she is a very beautiful young lady. I am more worried about how others around us would view this. I don't want to be seen in the wrong light. I haven't given her a reason to act yet as I am still hashing this age issue out with myself.

So, some opinions would be nice here. Professor?

BTW, no flamin people. I haven't done anything with her. Just wondering IF...................IF DAMNIT..........I did, how would that be seen.confused

Oh yea, the driver is back

Thanks sweetie. I am sure it will. I am over that whole crying phase finally. That sucked for a few weeks. I am actually eager to get back into the Army at this point. I like driving this truck, but dating as a trucker is about as easy as pulling teeth on an alligator. That and a made a pretty crappy civilian anyway.

Back Again

Will do. I'm down in FL right now visiting friends and family. Leave Sunday morning for Memphis, then back to Dallas.

Back Again

yea things have been ugly for me the last week. my wife, though still seperated, finally admitted that she started having feelings for her boss when she started working for him. This was while I was still in Iraq. She admitted to sleeping with him a month ago while I was still on the road. I haven't quite been the same since. Even though we were seperated, picturing this guy, who is married to a wife he moved to michigan to hide, has had 7 affairs since we have known him, sleeping with my wife, destroys me. I will recover though. I know how this relationship will end.

Be back soon as I can.

Back Again

Just wanted to let everyone know I'm alive and well. Been all over the us in the last few weeks. No computer in my truck yet so I am having to wait until I get home to check my mail. Hope to see you all soon. I'll try to keep in touch.

Still Alive

Just wanted to drop in and let yall know I'm still among the living. I got my own truck finally (2006 Volvo T660). Rides like a big damn cadillac. I don't have a laptop in my truck yet. I had to rush a computer lounge here in LA while I was stopped over just to say hi. I will be getting my computer in my truck here soon. Hope to see everyone here among the living soon. I will be on an hour or so before rack time. Will keep in touch.

FINALLY!!!!!!!

After 6 long weeks of being on the road with a senior driver, I am currently 4 hours away from our main terminal. Once I get there I will be attending a graduation cerimony and will begin my processing to solo status. From there I get my own truck and start my own routes.

The Professor has my contact info should anyone need to reach me for any reason. I will be offline about a week while I try to get the internet set up in my own truck. Talk to you all soon and don't have too much fun without me.

RE: New girl from Cali

:::grows his horns:::

Welcome............to the nightmare.

In Memory Of

Thanks for that there amigo. Honestly, I don't know. Up until I got home from Iraq, my life was awesome. Had the whole family, house, kids thing goin. After I got home, it was time to get out of the Army. Then I wind up losing the wife to her boss (yall know that story already). So here I am, new career that will keep me gone 90 percent of my life. I can't go back to being a firefighter/EMT due to my age. So I have two choices, back in the Army or stay in this truck.

I won't go on and on and on about it. But the more I'm out here, the more I realize I will never meet anyone while in this truck. I know someday yadda yadda yadda.

Truth is, I was always a better soldier than a trucker. The more I see how bad things are getting over there, the more I feel I betrayed my friends when I got out. The dept of the Army sent me a letter 4 weeks ago asking me to return "voluntarily". I will give this a few more weeks, but I am feeling I may just return. I left things unfinished in Baghdad when I left. Too much blood spilled, too much anger. And since George W wont end it, it looks like we just have to wipe them all off the damn map. How many more friends do I have to bury?????

Again, sorry for the long post. This crap hit me like a ton of bricks and I am roaming on my phone so I can't call any of the guys and vent with them. This is my only source of an "out".

RE: !!!NO SMOKING!!!!

Trying to get myself into a better mood here.

I like the bumper sticker on my truck...

"If you don't like my smoking....hold your breath"
