Well as of June 1st, Ontario will become a "smoke free" province... in essence that means that smoking will be prohibited from all public places...including bars, pubs, casinos, bingo halls, restaurant and all the likes....

I can not comment on how it will affect you there, but, we became smoke free a long time ago. No smoking in any public establishment that serves a certain % of food.
A bar that does not serve food for its main income still allows the drinking patrons to smoke.
actually i don't mind the fact that most places are now smoke free enviroments i would rather be outside having a smoke and enjoying the weather (with the exception of winter and rainy weather but can handle it) then be inside and smoking what ever else other people are smoking. other then that i use to hate it when i went into a restaurant when i was younger and people would be smoking and everything but then i got use to it and now i'm actually happy now seeing i can enjoy my meal with out having to worry if someone is going to light up or not.
they've done it here and it has worked out great.... they have allocasted outside smoking areas which when you go out for a smoke can be a great conversation starter...is that what they are planning on doing there or are they banning it compleatly..

I can't wait for England to bring in a total ban. Why it has not happened before is beyond me. I love going to the quiz of a Sunday evening with my friends. But just hate the smell of smoke in the pub and coming home smelling like an ashtray and in case you have'nt guessed no I don't smoke thank goodness. I would never have been able to run a car if I had. I have to bath and wash my hair before going to bed of a dance night too, the smell of stale smoke in the morning is so awful and no good for anyone.
i will go to such places, but i won't take my kids in restaurants that allow smoking, even if they have sections. i have to go through the back doors at wal-mart at times because of the people smoking at the front by the doors.
that bothers me more. i can choose not to eat at a restaurant, but i need to shop. and i most definitely have tag-alongs.
i'm not trying to get the world to quit...just make it safer for my babes. (two have asthma, and nebulizers suck.)

I think its great.smoking is not a right it is an addiction like drinking booze and i can only drink that in certain spots.Second hand smoke is worse than first hand.NH is going thru this now and I hope it passes!!
if ya wanna ban smoking in resturants and bars...thats one thing..on the streets though????...and GODDAMN if someone is gonna tell me what to do in my own home or car N.H. live free or die
we had a bill introduced....passed the house...failed in the senate...while still in the house someone suggested it be banned in homes with minors,...meaning anyone under 18.....that part was laughed off the floor practicly
As a smoker, i´m not bothered if soemone does not. But i´m bothered of very unimportant things like, free weapons or similar. Perhaps the senat or congress gonna get them signed like a box of cigarettes, "Caution could cause heart decease".
