I agree, one should not just settle.. but there is no perfect match, although some can come close, so there will always be things that you have to accept and learn to live with in any relationship..

Being alone is a choice for some people... also a relationship shouls take time to grow, but consider not being in one because you choose not to be.. maybe in your case.. IMO I think 23 years is to long to wait before exploring a relationship.. think of what you could or might have passed by while you were making up your mind about what you wanted to do..
