Its sad that you felt that you had to put that last bit in capitals or even at all.

Its often possible to remain friends with an ex..I have with most of
mine....you need to if you have children between you or they can be in the middle of the bad feelings.Perhaps if it is ended by one party against the wishes of the other then it may be hard for awhile but time can help.Also some people do think that if their ex is remaining friends there is a chance to rekindle things so care has to be taken not to give false hope.

I hope you will be able to continue to be friends but only if its what BOTH of you want and you arent made to feel as though you have to.

If your first priority is the happiness of your children then being bought up in an openly hostile environment is never a good place for them...even background resentment and petty bickering is picked up by young children and it must be very confusing and unsettling for them. No the days of staying together for the chldren are over we hope!

Yep I am always the elected driver! and its a good cover for a non drinker! I dont always get a buzz from seeing them all drunk at the end of the evening tho...very hard to try and organise them to go home!!!

Thats the right way to go...I have only been very drunk a couple of times in my long life...I was so ill...

but it seems so much part of the culture here that people do look at you as if you are strange if you dont drink!
