Musicians them selves are mostly to blame for the reputation they have in general. I remember when the 4 guys in U2 were just average musicians and playing in the local clubs here. Except for their incerdible manager Paul McGuinness, you probably would have never heard of them. The Edge is not a great guitar player by any means and the Bass player could barely keep up with 3 chords at the time. A musicians life is centered around drink and drugs and women. I was in the music businees for nearly 20 years but packed it in for aviation years ago.
I love music very much and it is a part of who I am. I mostly listen to 60's and 70's rock music but have played everything from classical guitar recitals to covers of Hendrix, Clapton etc.
