well all i can say is....... THANK GOD FOR THE PEOPLE WHO BROUGHT YOU UP. they have done a fantastic job as look at what we all have today!!!! a beautiful wonderful woman who is full of love and understanding!!!!!
that's a great idea. i have done that a few times for people. a cane basket and then purchase a few little things during the year. a bottle of wine and then nuts, cheeses etc. wrap up and it looks great. all it takes is a couple of extra things each week in your grocery shopping and presto!! as usual, with only a few weeks to go and i haven't even thought of buying anything yet.
i would love something like that. it is the thought that counts but when you have no money, and other family members do, and they buy expensive gifts....... well xmas just goes out the door for me. i always hate xmas time. shops get rich and we all get broke. i have a brother that lives about 20 houses away on the same street. the only time we talk is on xmas day and it is like we are the best of friends. total crap i say!!!!! so..... something very small and thoughtful would be lovely. hell, if i just got a bottle of red wine i would be over the moon. i did suggest one year to family, that we just but one nice present for one member drawn out of a hat. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!!
hi serene56, a strange place to be chatting to you on someones elses forum. BUT in answer to your question, we have not met yet but have spent time on the phone. spent about an hour just today chatting. plan on meeting just after xmas as the distance is not that great. do send emails and messages on this site. i think i may be getting your angle on things. if it is what i am thinking of, no need to go there at all. we have discussed many things and both have our heads on our shoulders. may pay to send me a message direct to me rather than on someone elses forum. hope you don't mind.
