What makes you unique?

Nothing is acheived without goals no matter how small or large they are. I pitty the people who have no goals in life as it must get pretty boring just existing.

What makes you unique?

I don't like mayonaise, eggs, beetroot, or tomato sauce

What makes you unique?

I do toogrin

What makes you unique?

We already knew that like people knew the length of my nose was as long as my thumb

What makes you unique?

I started my own business with nothing other than a few card tables, an ice cream container for a cash register and a dining table as a counter. Stock was my own video/book/CD library. I've been working for myself for the last 6 & 1/2 years so I must have been doing something right.

I'm a bargain hunter, I'd rather buy my Wii for $40 with 10 games at a Garage Sale like I did a ft/night ago rather than what most people would do, ie: use their credit card to buy the $300 console + $80ea game, fools.doh

Other than the home loan, I don't have any other credit and I think that's unique lol. grin

RE: our Asylum seekers... when is it enough

It's funny to think how the non religious here have such an in built hatred of muslims while the Christians are more acommodating. Why is that?
All I know is the hatred thing never worked in Africa, the middle east or asia so why persist with it here?
Why not try loving your fellow human as an equal person able to make a contribution like all imigrants including yourselves have made as I don't think we have any aboriginals here in the forums however if there were, welcome and please join in.

RE: our Asylum seekers... when is it enough

lly would have brought 5 million people in and put them into the largest state as it has the most spare land, most water and most high paying jobs.

As for races, how many are there in Australia today?
We feared the Italians and Greeks, everyone went around wog bashing.
We feared the Germans and placed them into prison camps for doing what?
We feared the Vietnemese, we feared the Indians, Cambodians, Indonesians, Africans, etc, etc...

Truth be told our greatest enemy is the Americans, see what they put us through just for selling our wheat to feed the population of Iraq like we always have done. Stuff the US as they under cut our primary products via their over protectionist subsidies which I'm guessing a lot of the 50+ers here would like to see brought in to stop imports etc...

RE: our Asylum seekers... when is it enough

All religious beliefs should be kept at Sunday School or home, not at school unless it's a religious school to start with. And since when did Santa Claus or the Easter bunny become religios symbols? To me, they are just fun things for kids to dream about while they still are at an age where they can have fun and dream.

RE: our Asylum seekers... when is it enough

as mentioned above, there are mens clubs, Fernwood womens gyms, our local pools evict you when school/holiday programs are on. I don't like it, but they're the rules and they are to protect the kids so you learnt to live with them.
Just cos' you want to look at what's under their head dress and robes.grin

RE: our Asylum seekers... when is it enough

Sounds like a particular race of Aussie boozed up youth who find no greater pleasure in life than to thug people late at night for brownie points with their mates.
Personally I'd be carrying a weapon too if I was walking home from my job at 7eleven

RE: our Asylum seekers... when is it enough

And how long does it take an imigrant to get the dole in Australia Merri?
Last I heard it was 2 years.
Too bad we can't make Australians work for 2 years before they receive the dole, especially sub 30yo's

RE: our Asylum seekers... when is it enough

all the Sudanese people in Wonni are either working at the aboitoir, or milking cows at 4am in the morning.

The poor homeless youth all the oldies here are reffering to are all tucked away in their warm beds and won't be bobbing their heads up until at least midday after a long booze session the night before on their baby bonus and welfare benefits.
How people can be homeless on such a generous welfare system is beyond me. Unlike places like the US where people have to beg steal and borrow just to make ends meet. Forget trying to get a dr in America as you'd need a job or wealthy relation to even think about it.

RE: The Dating Game.

well picked up Defman, I'll have to watch myself as nothing gets by you.
I think you're just going to have to bow to Shell's quick wit, tie your bow and shoot a cupids arrow from your bow while sitting alloft on a bough.

RE: our Asylum seekers... when is it enough

Merri's point was that Aboriginals shouldn't be allowed alcohol as they can't handle it.

My opinion is nobody can handle it if they have more than they are able to without effecting others lives or their brain cells.

RE: Fate, Destiny or maybe Divine Intervention ?

Bloody unreal.
How good is that?
Some things are meant to be, but you were meant to be there to save her as no one else would have.
Well done thumbs up

Pub chicks / guys vs online

RE: our Asylum seekers... when is it enough

I'm against detention because it turns people against us as a nation being treated like criminals and animals all corelled into little boxes like that. The least they could do is let them build accomodation near work so they could earn their keep and some self respect.

RE: our Asylum seekers... when is it enough

I am more concerned with our own breaking our laws rather than boat people fleeing their war torn country. We have the lowest intake of refugees in the western world.
Someone needs to work so our youth will have some benefits to pay for their cushy existence. That someone can be refugees.

RE: our Asylum seekers... when is it enough

It's just you Merri, i've known plenty of Aussies who have been there and done that, it's not just an Aboriginal thing. It in my opinion is called self control, or knowing your limit and sticking to it.
Personally my limit is a shandy

RE: our Asylum seekers... when is it enough

Well the Greeks, Irish, Italians and Americans stuffed up big time doig what you said we should do.
We have been opperating in the one world (real world) for a while now and all the better for it as our goods are affordable and we export our goods/minerals/farm produce at world rates, not via a subsidy like in the US where they have to subsidize their inefficient farmers and car makers just for the status to say they have those industries. Well they have just about gone bankrupt doing so. We could have kept the ineffecient dairy farms in Qld propoped up with subsidies, but have chosen to use mass production larger southern farms to supply the national milk needs and still export $$$$ of the stuff all at one world rates.

RE: serenes randoms

don't mention it, it's our pleasure.
Thought we would play the one and only Beach Boys track as the final song, but it's a medley so there are lots of them all mixed together, but yes you can play 3 hours plus of surf music without playing any Beach Boy tracks.

RE: serenes randoms

Got to get some of their stuff, never heard of them.
Live under a shell here in Gippsland.

RE: serenes randoms

Rock lobster oooh ah

RE: our Asylum seekers... when is it enough

I agree with you on this point, many African countries have religious wars that are not related to a tyrant and therefore can never be won so to speak. The only thing for it is to put one religion in one country and the other in another. Bit like they did in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Got to say the Indians have flourished under their religious beliefs while the Muslim countries surounding them are so poor.

RE: our Asylum seekers... when is it enough

Sounds like the tripe an Allan Jones or Chris Smith would spin to get the 50+ rednecks on side. 90% ?????
Come on.
You'll have to give me a link to where you obtained these figures as they sure are exagerated.
The jobs are also out there for our youth, they just have to go out there and get them.
A lot of the youth here would never work in an aboitoir so the owner here has to get people in from o/seas to fill the positions.

RE: our Asylum seekers... when is it enough

Our bodies were not in tune, but our minds were, we had fun and that was what the night was all about.
BTW, how are your toes going after I'd stepped on them?

RE: serenes randoms
