Certainly not! No government, jury, person or board has the right to take a life. If we start doing that we lower ourselves to the level of the crinimals.
Also every year we see people released from prison after serving time for a horrific crime they did not comit. If we had the death penalty those people would have been put to death. Is it worth risking one innocent life to take the lives of other undesirables???
In the USA 115 people have been released from death row since its reintroduction in 1973. So how many innocent people do you think have been murdered by the powers that be over there?
It's the same everywhere in the Western World. You have laws that us ordinary folk must follow or risk being put in prison but the establishment(Police, Judges, Politicans, Bankers, Developers and The Rich) does not have to worry about such laws!
I know in Ireland the Police (Garda) are a law unto themselves. They can do what they want and never see the inside of a court room.
I did read the post. I am just interested in what you consider the US dominates? You say you could cut military spending and still dominate? I am asking what would you still be dominating?
The article is too vague. She mentions the Military for some stats and Army for other stats. Also if she is including the reserves and other part time soldiers that would obscure the percentages. As the part time soldiers would have other careers and would not be classed as being from poorer areas. Are her ststs for people who are in the military for their career.
I am not demanding anything. You though I was asking people the difference between The Army, Navy and Airforce because you had not bothered reading the thread!!!!!!
When in fact I was having a discussion on the link at the start of the thread. I said I would be interested in seeing the difference in the figures between the Army, Navy and Airforce for people who enlist from poorer areas. I did not ask anyone to get them for me just meerly said I would be interested in seeing them.
Also I commented on the artice saying the lady who wrote it was very vague. She mentions The Military in some cases and Army in the other. She also does not say weather the ststs include reserves.
As for commenting on your military...well I think thats why the OP started the thread. She wanted comments.
Now go away and look for an argument somewhere else you imbecile!!!
If you read the article you would see that not the DIFFERENCE I was talking about!!!!!! I was talking about the different state between Army, Navy and Airforce in regards to people coming from poorer areas. You really should read the whole thread before commenting.
Whatever. You obvioulsy didn't read it. You dont even know what we are discussing. I am sure anything longer than a paragraph is too much for you at your age.
Sorry I don't think you're getting the point. I am not talking about tests or intelligence levels. The article is talking about people coming from poor and rich areas.
But her article was about how there is a misconception that the US military is made up of people from poorer areas. Not unintelligent people. I would be just interested to see if her figures add up when it comes to full time Army people. Also what the difference is between the Army, Navy and Airforce. Thats all. I am not disagreeing with her figures because I dont know. All I know is her article is very vague and she seems to skip between Army and The whole Military to prove her point. Looks like she may be juggling the figures.
They are totally different from the army because the army is not their career. They have another career and are only soldiers part time. That is my point.
I am not saying race, religion or creed is a factor. I am simply saying her figures a very vague. She does not say if she is including The Army Reserves. She also states Army for some figures and Military for others. I am simply saying that if she is inculding the Army Reserves she should have said because that would obscure the figures. After all the Army Reserves are not full time soldiers and have other careers.
I would like to know if she is including army reserves though. There are a lot of them and I know in this part of the world they tend to come from richer areas. They join the reserves rather than the army so they can still have their high earning career.
Are the figures for the US military as a whole or just the army? Is she including Army Reserves? Also I would like to know the % of poor people in the frontline infantry. Her figures and language are far to broad for my liking. But maybe she is correct? If she is correct it's probably the only army in the world with more people from richer areas than working class areas!
Well thats democracy. But can you name a Western leader who does not have the blood of innocents on their hands? The war in Iraq and Afghanistan which the UN supported have killed hundreds of thousands of innocent men, women and children. So Obama, Bush, Blair, Brown, Cameron to name a few have blood on their hands. Politics is a dirty game and you can bet your bottom dollar they all have skeletons in their closet!
Because the export market to these Western Countries is why China is devoloping so fast. Take the European and US markets away from China and they will be in big trouble also.
I personally don't want to date a woman with kids. I have nothing against them personally but from past experience it can cause problems. Especially with the kids father. I also don't want to raise any children that are not mine so long term there would be no future.
RE: should the 'death penalty' be a form of justice?
