This is the most current and expensive SCAM that is in play by the bad people who want to cheat us.

lying/posing as someone to gain access to their personal information



the practical translation is identity theft.

I've not been here very long, so I really wondered if the negativity was just the way this place is.

There seems to be some very decent people here....but I have had less and less interest in the short time I have been around due to the seemingly increasing ugliness.

As I said on a couple of threads that were getting ugly....

When I decided to join the military, I was told my long hair would likely prompt unpleasant attention in bootcamp. So I cut off my ponytail, which at the time extended to just above my waist. It measured about 24". I had my ponytail tied before it was cut, so I could keep it among the memorabia of my youth.

On the day I left for bootcamp, a girl that I was rather infatuated with, asked for it. I gave it to her.

I have never seen her or my ponytail since.
