hey real phobias are never foolish ... they are SOOOOOOOOO real and oh boy when they hit .... you read my disaster stories with heights and escalators??? and thats only some of them looked like some fool I'm sure to those around me but I don't care, felt too scary to feel foolish!
OH it was soooooo embarrassing dunno where the phobia even came, just hit me one day in Glasgow going up a Rennie Macintosh building with loads of narrow escalators. Just panicked around the 3rd/4th on and manage to get a lift down
Have another embarrassing moment when the heights on hit ..... on the way up the Eiffel tower, pyshc myself up to get to the 2 level and they told me I could get off at level one and decide if I wanted to go further but had to pay at the bottom
Got in the lift and did my calming techniques on the way to the 1st floor but then they didn't open the doors and continued up .... panic flooded in, was hanging onto a bar in the centre of the lift convinced I was going to die hands blue from gripping, tears streaming down my face again but not a word ...... even when the little kids laughed ..... the attendant told me it would be ok and we were going back down again after the 2nd floor and the vertigo etc would stop
felt such a dipstick made it to the first floor, stayed there and looked about but was high enough for me
I stick to the eco friendly approach and don't do outdoors lights anymore
you wont catch me up a ladder for no one!!! got stuck on the top scared to come down too often
BTW found a flawed in your list rockstar!!!
another one of mine is
Escalaphobia - fear of escalators .... very embarrassing moment once in NY had a complete freak attack going down one cos I realized I had to go back up it to get out of the shop ...... a poor security man had to lead me on and hold me with my eyes closed and tears pouring down my face to get out of there asap
Asymmetrical things- Asymmetriphobia Criticized severely, or beaten by rod or instrument of punishment- Rhabdophobia Bogeyman or bogies- Bogyphobia Love, falling or being in- Philophobia
oh and I forgot Heights- Acrophobia, Altophobia, Batophobia, Hypsiphobia or Hyposophobia
Hot House Flowers were the first concert I ever went to in Seapoint in Galway and they played that song, everyone went mad ....... that was a long time ago and it still gets radio play
Another great Irish Galway band were the Stunning, did a few gigs again recently and were still class. Both bands wonder why they didn't make it bigger compared to some of the crap in the charts!
This time of year I love to hear Hot House Flowers 'Dont Go' just gets me in the mod for more spring/summer days
It starts: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There's a smell of fresh cut grass And it's filling up my senses And the sun is shinin down On the blossoms in the avenue There's a buzzin fly Hangin round the bluebells and the daisies There's a lot more lovin left in this world
I keep wishing for miracles hence thats where I go wrong and get lots of disappointments! Still like you say, life is unpredictable so maybe someday I will find my surprise .... or get sense and stop looking
yeah I tried the healthy approach when my last microwave packed up .... last 2-3weeks til I gave in and bought a new one now I do eat healthily BUT I still needed another microwave for the emergencies got fed up of bowls of bran flakes
kind a jack in the box kinda thing ....... hey girl ya maybe onto something there!!! new adventure that will make you a trillionaire if you figure out how to do that one
well do try n buy things that dont need ironing but have to say i like to iron what needs doing ...... think it comes from my mum and have to admit i've brought her bedclothes still on visits
need some grass and sell some horses
just looked at my garden while making that strong coffee and realise the garden needs tidying up too! thanks claayer you have me cringing at my to do list now .... had nicely forgotten bout it all
sure need a mr. mc helpful about the place .... if only they existed!!!
Yoga/fit ball exercises to loosen out this damn back again
Magic all the horses past the next few week til the grass appears (and sell some too!)
And if you know of another Mr.McMaybe that wont mess me about send him my way .... could do with some knee wobbling voices as well as some other things
