I left my ex after his family got violent with me and he just sat and watched (we had been married for 12 years). I had put up with all sorts of rubbish from him and the one time I wanted him to stick up for me, he didn't and it hurt too much and I left, wanting to be the bigger person. For the first few weeks I felt totally shell shocked, I moved far away from him, six weeks after I left, he tells me he's got a new girl friend and they've been together for two weeks (my stuff was still in the bedroom, was waiting for my dad to get it but it was a 7 bedroom flat and he couldn't even bother to move it out of our room before they got jiggy which made me feel totally disgusted).
That was at the end of march, i'm feeling a lot better now and hope to meet a nice guy but it has made me feel a wee bit wary.
