well I think I'll hold off hitting the bars on my own for now - but you never know!! :) @fifi - I think I will go to one of the meetups - at least it's a way around going alone.. not sure I can make the one next week tho- how often do they come up?
well I know there's no laws against it but it's not really done. There isn't a load of other single women propping up the bar that you can get talking to
I'm the only one out of my group of friends who is single... It didn't used to be a problem but the longer this recession goes on the more they are quite happy to sit in with their partners and save money... which means being single I gotta sit in too a lot more :( - makes me wish sometimes it was just as easy for us women to go to the pub for a pint on our own like men do
