its 2012,just go to the pub on your own.who cares.dont mind what others think,just do your own thingwell I know there's no laws against it but it's not really done. There isn't a load of other single women propping up the bar that you can get talking to

I don't see why you can't to be honest but drinking alone I think is not a good idea for man or woman.

I know how you feel. That was the reason I joined CS four years ago and I have to say I have met some lovely people on here. The forums can be good craic and the meets are fun too.

When living in Westmeath, every 2nd week, I pop into pub for afternoon food and beer.
this place does lovely sandwiches with chips and salad under 6 euros, i just in newspaper or a magazine, but never got chatting up! lol!

you said it...go out on your own...it can be more fun that way...you don't need your friends to hold your hand on a night out
eveny: well I think I'll hold off hitting the bars on my own for now - but you never know!! :) @fifi - I think I will go to one of the meetups - at least it's a way around going alone.. not sure I can make the one next week tho- how often do they come up?
from what ive seen here since july when i joined...theres been bout one every 2 months in dublin or there abouts..but theres also the country ones...although personally id prob go to one in my own county for a first one..
keep ur eye out..in forums..ud really enjoy it..they are a good night out
why not go to the valantines meet in dublin, great way to meet people ,even if you dont meet someone rommce wise you be sure to meet new friends who are single
