yes understand what you are saying...the first book i read dalai lama actually had to re read several points to really understand what it is he was explaining...the thought process.. where the mind had to be in order to fully comprehend it.. As you said rob yes we all have dillusional thoughts.. due to outside obstructions..obstructions we place with in our self.. what has been in grained in to our minds..forces the questioning within..
can I ask you a question rob...now that you have studied and evolved your thought process..do you find a deeper peace ..in your self.. calmer..in life it self.. hard question I know..?probably a deep question too..
yes understand i am also not able to meditate..although have touched on it from martial arts...very shallow form though ..hard thing to do.. yer agree understand is to observe our own actions thought process.. this is what is the main interest for me at this stage..is. yes i think i will need help ..assistance to eventually understand.. and apply on a deeper level..it is interesting..though.thankyou rob..
yes ..didn,t mean it that sense of words...context..I am interested in buddhism as a whole...and appreciate any advice to assist the best way to go about it thanks rob...appreciated..
yes i have three books on this now..modern Buddhism level 1-2 -3. actually still reading the first vol...more on sutra..and Bodhichitta origins the split of Tibet..is an interesting book...thank you for the link..rob..was a good read..but all of it is to me at the moment..
yes that we should...but we need to understand our self..before we can be of benefit to others..that,s where I am at. understanding why..within myself.. and as you say the correction needed...I think it is a long path.. but i am certainly glad to of found it...ultimately yes we should look to benefit and help others as a human being... but we know..there is good bad ..in.everybody today ..greed self preservation to one belongings and hundreds of other.things they place as an object.become a hindrance..in reality to being happy..this can be a very in bred thing..mentally..in turn emotionally..from our upbringing...child..morals etc..
ok now that makes it clearer..Rob i have recently..last 12 months really started to read about Buddhism way of life...mind.. honestly I would say this is the only thing I don't call it a religion a such..simply because it does not preach a god as one.. the answers are in us all..for happiness as a whole..peace..tranquility..It in something I really relate to.. And yes I can see why we do what we do..it has certainly helped me.. and I am A HATER of religion...main stream..probably one of the biggest haters of it..I actually started to look deper when I brought and read dalai lamas ..right to happiness..brilliant book.. fascinating mind..
yes for sure rob..for humans a a race..does make you wonder ..are we smart as a whole. personally cannot say yes..for the developments and technologies.we have gained..advancement so to speak..but as a living being ..as an animal species.no we would be without a doubt... amongst the dumbest of all animals..? kind of ironic..
