I love it, thank you teddybear

RE: Artificially cooling the planet

I think humans need to really stop meddling with our planet. It has not worked out so well thus far.

I also don't recall giving my consent for these experiments, and seeing as I too am a resident of Mother Earth, I think it should have been asked.

The biggest question humanity needs to ask itself is, "We have the technology and curiosity, but should we use it?"

Splitting the atom and its consequences for example, I think we would have been better off without it.

And air freshener. Why? Why?

dunno

RE: christianty verus muslim,, which one is better for living

I am neither, so I have no idea which is better for living.

Personally I find Mother Earth is great for living wine

RE: Should Maori be given back Aotearoa New Zealand

Hi rubicon, My understanding is that the only reason we have come out better off than other indigenous peoples' nations is because we have a treaty, binding by lay, and because it was so late in the day, one of the last countries to be "discovered" and colonised by the British.

As for history, there is true history, which is found in the heart of our people, and these are the people that truely have a heart, where the heart is of the land, from the land, cannot be removed from our land, and this is the sad, sad consequence. That most NZ people have no idea that the true Maori Culture is founded on love, and togetherness and respect, for people, the land, the animals. It encompasses all because we need all to live, and be whole.

The British way was manners and money, if you dont have money, have more manners. No heart, and no soul, and no respect for the land.
Money is raping our planet, and if Maori choose to try and keep our own land safe from this, then, bloody hell, only an idiot will be a nay sayer.

RE: Should Maori be given back Aotearoa New Zealand

Its also these times too, white man has a lot to answer for. The deforestation of the Amazon and the eradication of the indigenous tribes living within it to raise cows for US takeaway franchises springs to mind.

RE: Should Maori be given back Aotearoa New Zealand

RE: What's the best name for your cat? And not be ashamed when you tell your friends his name :)

I had a cat once called Speedy Tomato. She was lovely.

RE: Should Maori be given back Aotearoa New Zealand

please explain what you mean by this sentence?

The Maori culture encompasses the land completely, it is an intrinsic part, trees, water all living things. There genealogy is entwined in the land, mountains, rivers, sea. They have respect for the natural environment and live from it, and have done for centuries.

Pollution of water where people rely on it to drink and fish and eat from, from illegal farming runoff, from companies pouring waste into rivers, is an issue.

The Treaty is a legal binding document, and without it Maori would probably have been put into reservations like the American Indians.

The reason being that they did not LOSE the war with the British. They out mastered them, out strategised them, and traded with them.
The Treaty was to BE the instigator of symbiosis with Pakeha and Maori, yet the Crown lied and cheated and still has yet to redress the myriad of offences committed.

RE: Should Maori be given back Aotearoa New Zealand

I think if you turn on your brain, you will realise that not every Maori married a Croatian. They went to Northland digging gum and clearing swamps into useable land.

It is clear you have little understanding of Maori, their culture, their compassion and their connection with the land. Even though you have probably lived here all your life.

You probably have little knowledge of the wars fought here either, the fact that in many of them in Tauranga, and Waikato, strategically Maori outmastered the British and won.

Their women then tended the enemy British soldiers wounds, and gave them food.

RE: Whick is the best food in the world?

When I next drag a man home by his hair I will make sure not to give him any coriander. Only Jumbo tandoori prawns.

RE: Should Maori be given back Aotearoa New Zealand

I'm sure they'd last quite well. The traditions and arts are still alive and well, and many of the millions of acres ARE in their stone age state, so its hardly funny.
Hows the indigenous Tasmanians going over there? Oh thats right, extinct.
How's the stolen generation over there mate, real happy?

Why are NZ Navy ships banned from Pearl Harbour?

Thanks, I appreciate it very much, even when its raining. laugh thumbs up

RE: Should Maori be given back Aotearoa New Zealand

There are many full blood Maori. You listen to propaganda. Go to Tuhoe and see for yourself. Go to the Far North and meet with them. Talk to the Dalmatians that lived with them and married them.
