How refreshing! I wish you were at my school when I bravely announced that Mr Columbus did not discover America and that there were several people who could lay claim to this achievement.
When challenged I further added that at the age of 14 he was a pirate sailing with a man by the name of Rene D'Anjou....I was jeered. This was the backbone to the english speaking cirriculum.
On a further challenge I declared my source was the Encylopaedia Brittanica. I was told to stick to the text book. How I hated that lesson.
