Hiya DC , it were kinda late yesterday when I saw your thread and y'all were in bed .
I can only hope that you don't have to experience this again (at least not so soon ) It's only common courtesy to ring/text/send a farking smoke signal if need be and let ye know that he can't make it .
Well , didn't the wind change direction oh so suddenly on the part of your neighbours . Best you can hope for is to remain on civil terms . If we had our lives to live over again there'd be still loads we couldn't make sense of and there's a classic example .
By their reaction/lack of towards you it's just left an awkwardness between ye as neighbours and what have they gained from it . Precious little methinks
I came here in 2010 with a sense of maybe , trying to keep an open mind about the whole idea of finding my lifelong 'nibble' but my inner preference of it happening the old fashioned way won't go away .
It is however really nice to have met at least one person to whom I've chatted online .
My original post does not allow psycho-analysis of the whys and or wherefores for the poor criminal who since seems to have a crisis of conscience whilst in the throes of a crime spree , declaring open season on a hardworking decent person's belongings . Imagine for a second it's you've just been burgled and even attacked in your own house , would you get bogged down asking the same questions ? My support and sympathy still rests with the victim . Crim should not 'pass Go' or 'get out of jail free' but it bloody well happens .
