This doesn't have to make a difference. I'm wondering what her ex was like before you? Women coming off the back of getting hurt can go do silly things. They can tell themselves that what they want is somebody nothing like their ex. In the midst of pain they can crave comfort and safety, but sooner or later she returns to what she always wanted.
