My grandfather died of cancer, we used to live in another city, 5 hours drive, we would come every week, then go back to work, I was at school, and so on. The last time I saw him I was upset cause my mom was taking care of him, her brothers and sisters eventhough they lived here always had things to do, not caring if my mom was ok, slept good, eat right, and the last face he saw was a pretty straight face....we went bacl to mexico city, my mom got a call she came back, and I stood there cause I had exams, by the time I was taking the flight he died....they told me he was like holding, waiting for me. I swore this would never happen to me ever again....the last thing I wanna see, hear, is a nice smile, a nice word....
Loss has been a part of my life, always, I have lost too many close and important people in my life. It doen't matter how prepared you are, you're just never prepared enough, you know? These things always come as a surprise. And it's not the actual fact that gets to you, its the why's, the who's, the choices, the possibilites, what was said and unsaid...
I do feel a bit sad, but what happens to me is when something like this comes to my life I start thinking about soooooooooo many other things...things we probably don't have the answer to.
Do you think your friend's gonna be there tomorrow when you call her/him? Do you think life will stand still waiting for you to tell that person you love her/him? Do you think you will have the strenght tomorrow to take that long trip you have wanted for so long? Have you said "I love you" enough times? When was the last time you calles your parents and told them what you feel? The last time you said I love you and meant it? The last time you feel in love? The last time you actually made love??
A friend of mine comitted suicide, yesterday, she was young, beautiful, was secured, had no worries, but wasn't happy, didn't have love, was never loved, she seemed happy, yet she wasn't....I know this things happen, I know death is a part of our lives, I know all that...but...do we take things for granted???
How do you know you have asecond chance, how do you know shes gonna be here tomorrow, how do you know this is inot the ONE if you don't give it a chance....HOW????

I'm a pretty simple girl...what gets to me is...one flower...a flower that my sweetheart picks from work, on the way home, just to show me he thought of me....when he takes me outside, holds my hand and we get wet with the rain....those kind of things are what matter to me....
