Price not sure but desalination plants do use energy-- which is also in short supply- Western Australia is building a plant that will use wind and eventually tidal energy -- I would imagine if Europe is to go to desalination-- most countries will also go nuclear with the consideration Russia has got most of you by the you know what with gas
