WOMEN, OUR MOTHERS, OUR GREATEST TEACHERS, AND VITAL FORCE BEHIND MAN´S SURVIAL ON EARTH.

This is an excerpt from my Aticle, "Women..." Title above, published in a high school newsletter in the Middle East. What do you think about it? Be honest and open-minded about your answers.

The famous Ghanaian scholar and educationist, Dr. James Kwagyir Aggrey once said, “If you educate a man you educate one person, but if you educate a woman you educate a nation.”
This wise perception of the African scholar in the early twentieth century became the dream of many scholars and clear thinkers in many parts of the globe. Women, who were given the opportunity, have proven themselves far beyond expectancy. Thus, they have excelled even their male counterparts in many areas, including academics and human improvement, and therefore brought about development and stability not only to the families that they belonged to, but also to national and international developments. Besides all these, they have proven the conservative-men-dominant societies wrong in their opinions about women.
Yet in spite of the immense potentiality and ability with which women have stood beside men in bringing about world development, most men in the conservative-men-dominant societies all over the world adamantly or perhaps ignorantly refuse to admit fully and to accept certain facts about women. Our mothers are not just the mere loving creatures who are destined by nature to feed and clean them up, and to provide for them the necessary security and affection they need in the early stages of their lives, but rather that the woman/mother nature is a very symbolic and a vital force throughout every stage in a man’s life. Therefore, women should be regarded and treated with utmost respect and courtesy in all societies regardless of religion or cultural preferences.

It is inconceivable that, even in our today’s world and the huge contribution of women to development, women are still confined as homemakers and pleasure tools for men in many communities around the globe, especially in the developing countries, rendering them and their young children vulnerable in times of conflicts and social unrests resulting to disability of family management and as such poverty and hindrance to national development.
Men have been known to boost, brag and claim superiority over women, yet the greatest of men was caressed, protected and nurtured by a woman. Even though man grows in life and thinks he is masculine enough to take care of himself and to subdue everything around him including woman, his mother, nevertheless his greatest desire had always been to please a woman.
Left alone, the man would be a very miserable creature wandering aimlessly on the earth’s surface. Women are not only blessed with compassion and tender care, but also with great instinct, nurturing and teaching ability which men need to survive throughout their lives.

Women are special, and they are a vital force for men’s survival on earth in all aspects. The earlier all societies realize this fact the better our world will become.
