People learn differently. Some need a more systematic approach ..ie they learn the grammar , fill in the vocabulary and then go about talking to the locals, picking up idioms etc. Others take the plunge - immerse themselves in the language and pick it up little by little. My husband told me that I was dreaming in English and after years of having be immersed in his language. As to difficult to grasp : What is most difficult to associate with is the stuff people grow up with in their respective environments..I mean the quotes of ones childhood..the fairy tales peculiar to the country of your upbringing. The bogeyman one is used to.
The other aspect : If you have learned a foreign language once before, then you have got the scaffolding in place to learn another one. You know what a noun is or a verb or a declination etc..so it is a lot easier to see how language is constructed. This has grown into to much text ..sorry T
I have no idea about falling in love online..but would guess that it is the "click" which sets the scene for "falling in love" ie meeting in the flesh. I took to the internet because this way I can talk to english speaking people..if I want catalan speakers I can go outside...but its great to have found this place. Saludos
