Lol are you saying in another 50 years or so we could become 10'5 or so? I just try to imagine that .. well.. if one sort of grows into a bridge-form and then supports ones framework on the floor with all four....only joking..but yes you are right people were a lot smaller.
I am still happy go lucky and don't even think about my age. Unless I walk into a brick wall in terms of not being able to do something anymore.. That is not often the case. I know that I speak to anyone and don't make that dependant on money...but yes, I do not want to talk to men younger then me. So, I have not changed so much, Peter.
It happened often enough on here, that I received mail from very and young men..as happened to other femals here as well...I don't even answer politely anymore..don't want to create an endless story.
Toy boys and rich guys...well I want some brains in a male person (or in girlfriends)..and some humour ..tolerance..etc.. No more to say right now

I do sometimes think that it would be nice, if we would preserve the knowledge our ancestors acquired in difficult times. Meaning that I have not forgotten my dutch granny taking a sliver of rather dry looking lemon and immersing that in water ..with the help of a bit of sugar. Then she took the juice which developed out of that later, to add to her lemon cake ..she had forgotten to buy a lemon for it. So there are simple tricks to make life easier, which have been learned in difficult times which will be all lost soon. Just some thoughts

there are always insensitive people around ..do not be put off by that .some people understand what u are saying to them ..i konw and understand perfectly well what u are saying about the cancer threat but some people - mostly ignorant ones who never had to do with it - will never understand..ignore!! It just started here in Spain as well and it drives us nuts ..thank you for the idea rusty! Unfortunately there is another system in use which is is a computer generated calling system ..usually on the mobile phone ..it calls you about 8 times a day unless you answer quickly ..when u are the first to answer, they try to sell u stuff ...if u are the second on the list, all u hear is a tone indicating someone rang off. That goes on now since two summers and is done by telefonicas mobile phone company..trying to stop this marketing ploy was like a road to hell..and no good intentions. Just to let u know of what else is used for consumer comfort
