good advice sunset, i can see that you are a natural at raising kids
i think i am one who is not, but one thing i've learned with my teenager (16) is that she is complicated, yet needs some very simple things...boundaries and support and most of all someone to listen to her...
if you are new to single parenting, it may be that you are the problem,,,don't take me wrong, but you may be more sesitive because of all that you've been through recently
if you've been at it for a while, you may just be fried
either way, give yourself a break, do something just for you and then you will feel refreshed and have some new insight for handling behaviors and issues
oh, a glass of wine or 3 helps sometimes as well...
I think that there are people who do things so terrible that almost everyone would agree that they should not be allowed to live...the problem with capital punishment is that there is no way to make it completely fair, simply because of the nature of human beings. Look at Texas......
it sounds like you are having a sad day, but remember those feelings are only temporary, k?
and this might freak some people out, but i think there is some truth in that
some of us were talking at work the other day and the converstion was about nice guys and how intimidating they can be....for some reason, at least in my american working class group, women, myself included, are uncomfortable with nice guys
remember i'm just an observer, but that seems to be the consensus
nontraditional meaning childless and alcoholicless?
i have children, but surprisingly they haven't driven me to alcoholism....
i think it's pretty ok here, the forums are good for people who want to talk about whatever
and i've managed to get a few dates
and i think it's fairly open as to what kind of relationships you are looking for.....dating, flirting, chatting, friendships....it seems to be a pretty good place for singles to hang out who have nothing better to do (like me!!)
but after a few months, it loses a little of it's charm
but maybe that's because i'm in a rural area, who knows
RE: What can be done when a teenager whines, to try and stop it?
