Communication - Men are from Mars, women from Venus

P.S. Yes, men do receive long notes...

Yes, men do get scammers's notes....

I am not sure how they react to them but it does happen....

From the poster...Ms. Bajan lady, I am also Barbadian. Thanks for the responses.
How do you ladies feel about a gentleman taking the time to read a profile and then write an introductory note to that lady which, in part and without pomposity, suggests and interest? This is the type of note I am referring to. It seems that some ladies like them men to read their profiles and respond, line by line, to their writings. Other ladies want a general introduction and then this introductory note acts as a catalyst for further conversation. The initial contact cannot be romantic at this point because it is a one-way transmission and how does one establish interest without communicating. (FYI - I am speaking about written communication in this post). Guys, my question to you. What is your approach. Yes, there are some of you who look at a face and send an innocuous message. Then there are some men who genuinely sit down and write an introduction from the heart. Ladies, how do you determine what is sincere and what is not? Why do some of you immediately assume that a note of more than six sentences is a "cut and paste?"...

Good dialogue...maybe there can be some communication that is considered acceptable to all....

Hope everyone weighs in on this one...

Many women on this site speak to the fact that they want to communicate, communicate, communicate. That having been said, why then do the men who take the time to write get responses from these same women that the notes are too long? I have heard this from several of my friends. Some women complain that the introductory letters are too long.
Would you jump in on this? Why the dichotomy? Say one thing and really mean something else? Or is this not really knowing what one wants? Or is it a case that all that is written by these ladies is for show and not based in reality? Or is it that they say one thing and when someone takes the time to write them a nice note, they send some viltriolic response back accusing the person of cutting and pasting? What is the real story? I cannot believe that intelligent women would want some dude to write them, "Hey babes, you are hot!" and interpret that as a compliment instead of being an insult.

What do you think?
