I resent being dictated to , it makes me dig my heels in more. It will be like being back at school , having to creep around to smoke a cigarette. If smokers stand too close to public doorways eg. pubs that will be a health and safety matter for keeping exits clear.
How would the drinkers like to be told , so many drinks and that's your limit go elsewhere. Or give some of them the breathiliser when they are walking drunk around town. There's a lot more anti-social behaviour that disgusts me more than us smokers.
B.T.W. are they going to ban this little Emoticon? ha ha!

In the use of a name , i do not give as i do not know of a particular name. I do know for sure that there is a higher being or maybe three or four? I do not need a name i have my beliefs.
I have had to dig deep into my soul for an answer, and yes i think that negativity can come from the soul. If you do not nuture it , outside influences can cause this feeling and when we are ill.
I have read all of this thread as i have another of David's threads on the Darfur refugees and each time the subject becomes a battleground for religion. You were the first to point out that the Muslims help.
I have friends who are good muslims, not terrorists . But the fact was in the question to the opening of the thread Do we care? Is it our problem? and i interpreted what are we doing about it ? The subject being African orphans. What kind of response does he expect to get and more importantly where is his input relating to his own question?
I made a contribution with the thought of a orphan without food and water that child is not going to care what religion they are.
You have not said what you do to help the African orphans yet?
I made the mistake of saying red nose day is in England when in fact it is Great Britain and there's no need to be sarcastic concerning the efforts as it does raise a lot of money which is guaranteed to get directly where it is needed. No it does not solve the problem, have you got any better idea's that are realistic?
That is a terrible story ! I do believe it , there is severe punishment for stealing.
The only thing i have encountered is young children begging and i gave them some coins and sweets as soon as i walked away older children took them and ran off. Sometimes i'm afraid it's the strongest who survive and is a cruel world, all we can do is play our part because doing absolutely nothing is unimaginable.
I have not said in which country the children i met purposely because that should not come into it.
Why don't you tell us your view then David. Do you care?
Here in England we have Red nose Day yearly. It is a charity set up for Third world countries. Would you be willing to dress up wearing a plastic red nose , go around the streets with a bucket collecting money for them?
Do you care about the orphans in your country. You say lets talk then you get everyone arguing and going off the subject.
Personally i do care about the orphans in Africa, also the adults who are ill and starving, it's a bit of a stupid question really.
