I agree, but there may also be people (men or women) who may feel as if they have been played and have a negative attitude about someone. I would try to warn someone, but I always try to find out for myself and give someone the benefit of the doubt. 37 and haven't learned my lesson yet I guess
I'm new so maybe my opinion doesn't count right now, but I wouldn't ask around. That seems sort of high-schoolish to me. I would be upfront and say "Hey I like you, how do you feel?" If it's a yes, and he's not playing games, it's all good. If it's no, that's ok too, it doesn't hurt to ask.
