He started from Greece, gone through all Asia, cut some Persian butts, but....
...he returned back to Greece before he could storm the capital of the Persian empire!!!!!! He had to defend Sparta from the Athenians.....
He was a just man and once, when they asked him if he wanted a statue to be built for his honour he replied
“If I have done any noble action, that is a sufficient memorial; if I have done nothing noble, all the statues in the world will not preserve my memory.”
He ruled in Sparta for 41 years. He diedat the age of 83....
He was the greatest ruler Sparta ever had!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My fav is Jesus Christ!
He was of pure love sinless He gave his life so that we could live he healed the sick and forgave the bad.
There is no one in history that even compares to Him and no way to fully be Him but trying to be like Him can make even the worse seem better than the best of them.
Regardless of the holy part,religions part even if He's only a figment of a good writer He's still a way for all to get better in their person and life.
I was told once that the bible was the greatest self help book ever written.
That if you take God out of the bible and read what Jesus was and did in character the person He was that would be enough to give you all you need for any recovery and self improvement.
