I think, i get why americans would confuse the spelling of words like; 'than' and 'then'. Their pronounciation for both, sounds almost the same, to me. .laugh:
We ( me, whoever, and brits), on the other hand, pronounce 'than' without the 'twang'. Now, picture Pierce Brosnan and Brad Pitt saying 'than' and 'then' repeatedly.
