RE: What's on your mind, Part 23 .. (4th Attempt)

RE: Charlie Hebdo....

Truthfully that Michael Moore guy is a bit over the top and my worry is that a lot of them Liberalists may just start to see the light about what is really happening in the world.

In my part of the world for example..... little billy-ray jones hurt his knee and needed a plaster to get it all better ....Due to the recent recession his mammy only had sticky pink plasters which caused little billy-ray immense embarrassment in front of all his peers.

Things like this are important to me Not what the likes of some guy who supports the right of people in his country to drive on the wrong side of the road ..

RE: New Year's Resolutions/wants/plans for 2015.........

4 things to do >

My first action for the New year is to avoid people who return from Sierra Leone grin Apparently they play bingo all night long and call it tombola or something uh oh

Remember to put bread out for the birds ...its supposed to fatten them and it helps Cats catch them .... I could spend hours watching the local cats toy with a injured bird grin

Dent a few more cars with my trolley (with photo evidence to support) as I came 4th in the County championships last year .... 1st place was by a Drogheda woman who gets her kids to distract people while she whacks a car door .... she is really good I have to say

Keep rubbing the "O" out of COUNTY in neighbouring Counties road signs

Embrace Feminism in the same manner that other enlightened Men boarded life boats before women in a recent ferry disaster since We are all Equal and no discrimination should be allowed

Learn to count

Buy softer toilet roll for me even though its more expensive and keep the regular cheap stuff for the kids bathroom

Learn more Arabic...It really confuses the Charity collectors who come to the door

Stop leaning across and using the neighbours face cloth as a drying cloth when mopping the floor and then returning it ... Her skin has become so blotchy recently

tongue uh oh

RE: (Amnesty International )Israeli War crimes

This was an interesting snippet I just borrowed

But hey lets just ignore it dunno

Share the Holiday discounts and fun places to go for 2015

If anyone is interested in getting away next summer to the mainland (France/Spain/Deutschland etc) irish Ferries are offering a 10% discount if booked now and a free return car trip to the UK if you travel in their peek times(June-August).

Brittany Ferries are also doing a 10% discount on your ferry if you book a holiday with a big French Campsite company called Siblu. I think others also offer this discount but am unsure.

Ive been to a few campsites In France over the years and thourghly recommend them for families and they work out cheaper even with the ferry than staying in the land of the Mystical Rains

Anyone any other suggestions of discounted dates or travel companies that may be of use to fellow CSr`s

RE: Pistorius the Blade Runner

Well he was sentenced to 5 years but is eligible for parole in 10 months (next August)

Personally I think he should be locked up for life NOT for shooting his girlfriend when the gun went of accidently lots of times grin but because there's been non-stop media coverage for months and if he is released early its going to start up all over again doh

Time to book Holidays for next August I think cheers

RE: Days of old.....

What I don't miss:

Black and white televisions that had to be manually tuned into another station.

Standing in the hall talking to friends knowing my parents were listening.

Chopper bikes - Seriously what a death trap they were.

wearing School shorts instead of long trousers to school.

One of my Parents Licking their hands wet to comb my hair in a parting if we went somewhere...

The A5 from Holyhead going through windy roads to Brum sandwiched in the middle by bigger siblings....

Checking under the bed and in the wardrobe after watching the latest Hammer House of Horror episode on a Friday night (still do it today )

RE: Water meters

Hi GG,

Yep still alive no matter what they say grin and have been busy in my Personal life along with other obligations....

RE: Water meters

Without getting into any Political discussion on the EU or Irish Water ... This is how it was explained to me

Water that is used to flush away Wee`s and Poo`s and wash the car/mop the floor etc etc is all treated "Potable water" (meaning it is fit for drinking) hence there is a cost in making this so by treating it. There is also costs involved for paying wages and upkeep of the pump stations etc

Also waste generated from the toilet and kitchen sink etc needs to be treated. There is a cost associated with this as well.

How many times do people just blow their nose and then throw the tissue into the toilet and flush? ...what a waste of Potable water hence we need to become aware...Truth be known we become more aware when it hits our pockets ....
