I had to check my laundry cupboard. I still have a steam one. Used to belong to a Barbershop Chorus and had to iron the costumes I wore for that. That chorus folded several years ago. Did you see the picture that the CS Tweeter do of you, Pippa and Jeannene, Breda?
Oh, I forgot to mention there is a large room in Grand Central Station that serves as the auxiliary branch of the NYC Transportation Museum that has a lot of pictures and subway ceramics with a lot of reading that can take about an hour or more to read and is free, but they do accept donations in a drop box. St Patrick's Cathedral also takes donations for the candles in a drop box.
Have a great trip! Free stuff in NYC: Grand Central Station (go inside) 42nd Street then go west a few blocks to the Central NY Library (go inside, see the Gutenberg Bibles) then further west to Times Square then make your way north on 5th Avenue see Rockefeller Center and across the street Saint Patrick's Cathedral (go inside, light a candle) then go further north to the Plaza Hotel and Central Park.
