Agree with inter.. basically get out of it what you put in. I've found the girls on here to be a good bunch. Mostly up for good conversation, friendship and contact. Haven't asked any of them to sleep with me yet.. that's probably why I'm getting on so well with them!! On the other hand, it all takes time to build a relationship woth someone.. be it as a friend or something more intimate than that. Just as women need to be careful about the men who approavch them, so do the guys.. just read the posts about the countless Russian girls who keep writing to certain people - me included!! So far, this site has been a lot of fun... Good gals and good guys here.. just keep at it
Just got back from a AMAAAAAAAAZING gig in Brighton..... hope 2008 goes as well for everyone (including me) as last night went... great atmosphere, great people, great food and.. unfortunately.. great wine... I'm now paying the price.... sore head.. blurred vision... voice gone (too much "singing").. apart from that.. as Tony the Tiger would say "I feel grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeaaaaatttt!!!" Happy New Year to all I know here and also to those I don't know, and those I've yet to meet... massive kisses to all.... even the blokes JOKING !!!!

Anyway... as I said above, this is a genuine invitation to see a truly awesome musician. Plays about 14 instruments and uses modern technology to give a concert like you'll never have witnessed before. Obviously Brighton is a little far afield for some people but.. hey.. you never can tell !!

Total agreement Rob... Claire.. things happen for a reason. Take it from two old timers.... when you meet someone who you're meant to meet, you'll know. Even when you know... don;t rush into anything... he may not have the same feelings and you'll just end up getting hurt.. take your time.. let things take their course.. stay happy and have fun.

I'm going to have to ge a bit sloppy over this one... Most romantic date? .... First date I had with someone I was introduced to by a mutual friend. Candlelit dinner on a floating restaurant.. rosepetals on the table cloth, half a dozen roses on her side of the table. Sadly all for nothing. I got dumped a few months later. She's had some bad relationships with men in the past and she just couldn't believe that I was for real.. too scared I suppose. Oh well, that's life. Maybe one day I'll meet someone who comes up to her mark, but I have a feeling that "that special person" comes along once in a lifetime. Someone prove me wrong!!
In total agreement bubblywan. No harm in talking to people on the net, no worse than talking to someone at a party. As you say, depends on what you talk about. Having said that, it's not so much WHAT you talk about but HOW you talk about it. I've often discussed sensitive issues with friends of mine who are female but that doesn't necessarily mean that it's a "come on" from either side.
As a newbie to this site, it seems that the past reunions have been in Blackpool... maybe it would be an idea for you to organise something down south - in addition to Blackpool. No reason why, over time, these things happen all over the country. Good luck with it.
Worst thing I ever saw has to be something that was billed as "Dance" at the 2007 Edinburgh Festival. One guy doing the most bizarre things with rabbit ears and twigs... won't go any further. It was so bad that I was seriously expecting Jeremy Beadle to pop out from behind the curtain at the end of the show and say "you just been blagged.. paid good money for a spoof show" Anyway, he didn't, so I guess the "dancer" was trying to be genuine... very odd!!
Hmmmmm... I'm thinking that he's wanting a relationship where he's the boss and there's no room for any movement. The one thing that got me was his comment that his perfect woman wouldn;t be able to talk to other males. That's ridiculous. We all have friends of both genders. What metters is that if you love someone and your partner knows that you do, then you should both be free to do whatever you want. For good's sake, life is supposed to be a path of adventure - not locked up in a virtual cage.
Whatever he's looking for, I think it's going to take hijm a long time to find it. Not surprised he hasn't got any friends anymore.
