Yes, but wouldn't you say someone would have to be vain to be high maintenance? If she weren't so concerned about her appearance, she wouldn't be spending the money to keep herself up. At least her husband must not mind her spending it because he gives it to her to spend. Or maybe he thinks she looks so bad that she needs all the up keep?
I have a friend that is very high maintenence.....She goes to the hairdresser 3 tmes a week, gets a manicure and pedicure every 2 weeks. Spends loads of money on her make up and practically lives at the cosmetic counter getting make overs, and only purchases the latest and most popular make up. She needs to purchase a new outfit at least every week, and gets a new car every two years. That is high maintenence in my book.
Most people around here use the emergency rooms, which cause a very long wait to be seen. I have watched a large number of people come into the ER with colds and flu because they don't have a doctor or insurance. The hospitals can't turn them away so they have to treat them for free. Sure, the hospitals send out bills to these patients but if they don't have jobs or an income, the hospitals have to either pass the costs along to paying patents in the form of higher fees or write it off.
UH yessssss, I am fully aware of that fact, I wasn't refering to the trickle of black blood in most of us...I have black blood in my veins from a great great great grandmother, yet you would never know it from looking at my skin. and my father had a black wetnurse. I am only pointing out the simple truth that there are too many back woods rednecks out there who don't think like normal people. I don't want to see the things that Might happen in America if Obama becomes President.
My sentiments exactly!!! My mama told me..."You can't have a calm discussion about politics or religion, so just ignore them"....I try but sometimes it is hard to do.
Yep, can you imagine two kids stripping off their clothes and slip sliding away through the suds? Of course I wanted to do the same thing....but I was the grown up and I figured they might think something was wrong with me if I did.
The first time I ever had a dishwasher, I was a dummy and didn't know you couldn't put regular dish liquid in it. So I filled the little dispenser full of liquid dish soap and turned on the dish washer. I left to go pick up the kids at school and pick up a few groceries.........When I opened the back door to the kitchen, there were about 3 feet of suds in the kitchen, dinning room, and hall. We had fun getting rid of all those suds.
I think China is trying to kill us!!!....I'm afraid to buy ANYTHING made in China. I look at the label of everything I buy and if it is made in China, I won't buy it unless it is the only one of that product available and I desperately need it....haven't been desperate for anything so far...
As I said in my post, I must have missed a report about help being offered. All I saw was how our government was not following through with disaster relief.. As for Chavez, I don't trust that man and I think he has ulterior motives for the humanitarian jesters he gives out. Chavez hates America and it is JMO but he is sneaky and any help from him would probably have some strings attached somewhere. I think he only wants the rest of the world to think he is a good guy. Like I said, it is JMO and that and a dollar will get you nothing.
My sentiments exactly!! It seems like the U.S. is always helping a foreign country and when it comes to us, who helps? We are always sending foreign aid somewhere. Who sent us help when hurricane Katrina destroyed New Orleans? Maybe the media didn't bother to report on any help from anyone, but I don't recall reading about foreign aid to us. Someone always has their hand out to America. I think America should help its own citizens first.
OH, thank you so much for pointing out the error...What I meant to say was, they can be interested in our elections, but not necessarily interject their opposition to the candidates. The last time I checked, I still live in America and have the right to my own opinion. so that is what I was expressing.
OR ANY OTHER FOREIGN COUNTRY FOR THAT MATTER!!!! unless they are Americans living over there. Judging from the use of english and phonically spelled words, I don't think they are.
The patch really works..My daughter who smoked for 15 years and swore that she would never quit, had to quit due to asthma, so we started with the highest dose patch and every 2 weeks we went down to the next lowest level and within 6 weeks, she was through with cigarettes and now she can't stand to be around anyone who smokes because they smell VILE!...good luck to you.
My Dear wife, you will surely understand that I have certain needs that you, being 54 years old, can no longer satisfy. I am very happy with you and I value you as a good wife. Therefore, after reading this letter, I hope that you will not wrongly interpret the fact that I will be spending the evening with my 18 year old secretary at the Comfort Inn Hotel. Please don't be upset I shall be home before midnight.
When the man came home late that night, he found the following letter on the dining room table:
My Dear husband, I received your letter and thank you for your honesty about my being 54 years old. I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that you are also 54 years old. As you know, I am a math teacher at our local college. I would like to inform you that while you read this, I will be at the Hotel Fiesta with Michael, one of my students, who is also the assistant tennis coach. He is young, virile, and like your secretary, is 18 years old. As a successful businessman who has an excellent knowledge of math, you will understand that we are in the same situation, although with one small difference - 18 goes into 54 a lot more times than 54 goes into 18. Therefore, I will not be home until sometime tomorrow.
