Hi I was 16 yrs in 1968 when I married my 19yr old boyfriend who earned £9.00 per week. The rent for our two bedroomed flat was £2.16s. Didn,t leave us much money for all the rest of the bills and food thank god for parents and family.
Seems really strange now to look at the fact that I earn that per hour now and still struggle.
I have been in lots of prisons and YOI,s. ( part of my job) not to be recommended on Tripadvisor.
like yourself I appreciate the sentiment behind the campaign just a shame others have to suffer. What a waste of every ones money too as Mr fix it has already fixed it.
My son came back home for six months while he and his future wife found a home of their own. It wasn't a bed of roses but that was nearly 20 yrs ago and he will be forty this year. We still joke about the times we had even now.
my daughter came home for almost a year to get away from her drug taking husband. My grand daughter was 10 months old then and she turned 16 yrs today. The bond is always there I could not turn them away.
I have worked with young people with Autism and other disorders for many years so appreciate the difficulties families have but find it so frustating and sad that despite midia coverage, espescially over the last 10 years or so that many people are still so intolerant.
I wish you and your family all the best for the future.
RE: Old money any great tales to tell of what you got for it back in the 60s
