Well I am here to enjoy joke and laugh but ............... I haven't watched TV news for twenty years and stopped News Papers and TV cables two years ago to stay away from all the headache but internet connects me sporadically to all the noise.
Iraq is in limbo to decide what to do with family members of ISIL. Punish or deport? That reminds me of my childhood memory. The family members of communist collaborators had all the restrictions for their opportunities. I knew they had nothing to do with it and we grew up together. They were all good friends and citizens. Penalizing them will backlash to imbed resent and anger to their mind and justifiable cause to antagonize the society which they belong to later on.

You are absolutely right but it will never inspire anyone's brain in this land. I am living in this uncivilized society in civilized way and never have had any problem. I will never have gun no matter what. M16 in Vietnam was the last one I touched. But owning gun in US is more of culture than justifiable method of protection. Just like using right hand for meal instead of spoon and fork. So don't raise your blood pressure and relax. The argument will never come to agreement. And whoever has louder voice wins. Am I liberal registered Democrat? Absolutely not. This gun issue is same as religion and politics. Just don't get into that.
More than 95 % of fast food place's workers had been Hispanic in our local area for the last fifteen years. And the Taco Bell near where I live had 100 % Hispanic who mostly spoke no English at all. We used to say, oh well, Americans are lazy and Mexicans work harder with lower wage. Why not!
But when I stopped by the Taco Bell a month ago, all Mexicans were gone and every workers were local people. And I was impressed. No communication difficulty and old manager lady was busy to keep the place neat and clean. She seemed very motivated.
I wondered where all the perception of lazy American came from. And for that fifteen years or so, how the teenagers and old people who needed supplemental income could find jobs. Those who displaced people probably stayed on welfare line with low self-esteem.
I could feel the old lady's motivation and eagerness, and I thought it is not the matter of amount of money. Now she earns the income by working instead of waiting welfare check, that makes her being proud of herself.
It is zero-sum game always. The resource is limited. The end result is unintentional Robin Hood style distribution. The opportunity for illegal Mexicans was by depriving the opportunity for local old lady. I heard opposite argument against that but I realized it was wrong by watching the old lady.
I suggest anyone, especially in ivory tower with noble theories of peace and egalitarianism, come out of the office and observe these local blue color ordinary low income American and make the judgement.
Who should we help? Either way we have to pay more tax.
