I went searching through the hearts of men.

Seeking a heart that was true.

A precious pulsating vibrant heart.

That connected me with you.

Searched through the crowds

Saw in their eyes the same essence I crave.

A person of heart.

To help me laugh away my days.

A little grace for the days when life is pressing in.

So far my quest has netted some friends

Whose hearts warm up my life.

Brightly wrapped surprises and mischievious eyes

Little ones trying to keep open their eyes

To catch a glimpse of Santa in his splendor

Delivering the delights to each house

But Ol Saint Nick is devious

He is quiet as a mouse



Colors of Christmas everywhere

Silver and gold

red and green

offset the drab winter brown and bleakness

apple cider and pine filled rooms

Kissing under the mistletoe

Enjoying our loved ones at their best

Good night darlin. When my friend Glenn died at 31 it broke my heart he was like a brother so although in some ways I don't know exactly how you feel in others I can empathize and even with all of our goofiness there is that undercurrent of empathy for both of you and that many of us wish we could ease what you are experiencing.
