If I didn't believe I and others had a soul or spirit or whatever you want to call it then it would be easy to be hard but you choose the view you have of others and the world. You can view the pain and suffering, wrongs and evil or you can be balanced and realize there is also great humanity, compassion, wisdom and profound beauty that comes from each of us individually.

I don't think traits of cynicism and suspicion can be limited to one country but I have always had a pretty broad mindset even as a child lol. Always wanted to visit other places and revel in the difference and had no desire to be an arrogant American but I love my country and while it's not perfect am proud to be from here. Enough said. If you notice on the forums many of the American men are quite excellent people.
Well I have lived all over my country and people here for the most part are very open and accepting it is like other places we are stupid, ignorant, kind, compassionate. You have the whole thing. Yes maybe we get carried away with the proud to be American thing. I am I admit it but it's the best parts of my countrymen that I love. The compassion, generosity and Americans love to laugh. We are like everywhere else where there are humans. We are good and bad. Need to get this on a global level. Get past the biases and then we can get somewhere.
I don't know about date but I have met people before out of a sense of adventure without knowing what they looked like. One of my best friends back home in Oregon I met off CL and I didn't have a picture of him.

Well you can but you are not right just as me saying that I don't like Indonesians because there are a lot of extremely militant Muslims would be ignorant. I try not to be ignorant. When the tsunami happened Americans were right there with aid to try to help.
Well on one hand some of us men and women have had a lot of bad experience with spammers and putting your heart on the line to someone you don't know as well entrusting your finances etc is scary.
On the other side it is easier to lump people all together than to deal with them individually. So I would say if you are a great woman looking for someone to love wherever they may live cool.
I have had too many spammers ask me what my job was immediately that is a big red flag as well as praising someones looks and not taking time to read profiles.
This forum is wonderful in that it can be a place for people to start a romance but is also a source of some great connections out there. I am glad for a lot of the people I have met on here both genders just being able to talk or post poetry is great encouragement. As far as staying I guess it depends on the people but I would tend towards someone who is secure enough to let me stay on these forums.
