obviously they do have to approve your reason to approve the expedition of it...i was only pointing out that it does not take months in all case...if information is given shouldnt it be accurately given ?

the standing in line comes after you have requested and been approved for the expedited passport....

if you want to get it faster than in months then you need to stand in the line wiht those who have appointments set up nd are in line for their appts.......

it is part of the process in order to have your passport in hand quicker than the normal waiting period...

sorry if you took this in any other way than it was intended..I only corrected the amount of time it takes that you posted as it was inaccurate....

had my flight all set up ticket purchased and all

got mine in 3 days

but, you got to do the legwork....
go to the state office in person and be willing to stand in line for hours and then go back in 36 hours to pick it up...
was worth the wait to me to make my flight

you can get a passport in many instances in much less time..it's called expedited..i got one in less than a week..it does not always take months depends on the reason you give for requesting it be expedited...
